I was delighted with a trio of dishes that are nothing short of breakfast reinvented: Smoked Meats and Breakfast Treats, Country Benedict, and Mountain Hash. And let's not forget an indulgent sweet treat that elevated the experience even further.
First came the PC Bacon Strips. Picture thick-cut smoked bacon, enrobed in fluffy, golden pancake batter, served with velvety butter and luscious syrup. Each bite was an enchanting medley of salty, sweet, and smoky notes, creating an irresistible harmony of flavors that danced on the tongue.
Next, the Country Benedict was a sight to behold. Two robust smoked sausage patties held court on a pedestal of grilled cornbread, crowned by poached eggs and smothered in a rich, savory chipped brisket gravy. Each mouthful was an explosion of bold, hearty flavors, all backed by the comforting, homely side of homefries.
Then there was the Mountain Hash. This masterpiece featured a bed of applewood smoked brisket hash, blanketed in perfectly cooked eggs, served alongside a duo of protein choices, toast, and that heavenly chipped brisket gravy. It was a stunning tribute to the power of smoked meats and the comforting allure of a traditional breakfast.
Finally, the pièce de résistance: the Blueberry Cheesecake Waffle. Crafted in a classic Belgian style, this sweet masterpiece was the perfect finish to an unforgettable dining experience. Light, fluffy, and generously punctuated with juicy blueberries and creamy cheesecake bits, every bite was pure ecstasy.
The menu does not end here. There are more offerings waiting to be savored, from the cheesy delight of Breakfast Quesadillas, to an array of omelets designed to satisfy every palate, to beverages both hot and cold to perfectly complement your meal.
In essence, a visit to Fire on the Mountain Smokehouse is not just a meal, it's an experience. It's a place where smoked meats meet breakfast classics in an exquisite culinary ballet that's sure to make your taste buds leap with joy. So if you find yourself in Suffield, don't miss the chance to embark on this delicious journey. Read moreMy husband, son (5) and I, came here for brunch we arrived at 12:40. The greeting we received from one of the waitresses was cold. Once sat, it then took them another 5 minutes before menus were infont of us. Mind you, we were the only new table, and the other four tables had food or were waiting for food. Both waitresses walked by our table multiple times before realizing we had no menus. It took another 10 minutes before our order was taken. We ordered a water, a seltzer and an orange juice and for food we ordered the French toast, country Benny and the brisket Benny. From there it took our waitress another 10 minutes to get our drinks to us. Mind you another two-top and a single person came in after us and by this point already had their drinks. From the time we ordered it took our food 45 minutes to come out. When it was delivered our waitress informed us our food took so long because there were two large Togo orders that were prioritized, the two-top and single guy at the counter also waited the same amount of time as us. Our waitress did check on us twice once the food was delivered, but then ghosted us and I had to ask for our check even though we had been sitting for a bit with empty plates infont of us. Our waitress clearly knew it took too long and asked us twice if there was anythng she could do for us to make up for the long cook time. It made us feel awkward, like if you knew things went wrong on your end. Make it right. At this point there are two tables and two single people eating. Also worth mentioning both waitresses walked past many dirty tables, many times and it wasn't until someone came in to eat did they clean one. I understand the place is new, but there were things that could be have been avoided with just a little more care. And I'm not sure how the POS system is set up for online ordering. But in-house tickets should 100% be prioritized over Togo orders. Also worth mentioning my son and I enjoyed our meals but my husband said the brisket tasted like nothing, and we didn't see a smoker or smell smoke anywhere in or around...
Read moreThe wife and I were looking for somewhere new and Google found me this glorious little gem. For only being in business for a few years, they sure know what they are doing! There were two gentlemen (I forgot your names guys, I'm so sorry!) manning the front of the house when we came in. One gave us a VERY enthusiastic greeting and had us sit. My man was high energy, had a great attitude and got us seated and ready to go right away. My other man over there with the rockin' dreadlocks was also great, helped us with good suggestions and really overall they both gave a great experience. The food was GREAT! The flavor, variety, menu options... Bears BBQ used to be the family favorite, but we voted that they are on notice, and you guys are in! Prices were totally reasonable for the not only quantity, but absolute QUALITY food they produced. My only suggestion would be to make your signage larger/more visible (if the town allows it)... we went to the lot the GPS told us to go to and we were like, "where is it?". Lucky, rockin' dreadlocks guy happened to be in the parking lot and let us know we were at the right place. Any place can make good food at good prices. What the wife and I saw that NOT just any place can do, was an environment conducive of neighborhood, friends, familiarity and the atmospheric want to just...be there. I could almost immediately tell there weren't just regulars but rather it seemed everyone in there that wasn't us were regulars! Everyone knew everyone, people talked table to table, the staff chatted with/knew everyone... This is not the achievement of a place that just takes your order, this is a place that learns your order. I'll drive the 1/2 hour every time if I get to see more customer/staff interactions like I saw. Congrats, you've achieved the Cheers of BBQ. My professional history is in sales and marketing. If you ever want to talk, I'd love to help you grow with what little expertise I may be able to help with... for some...
