Suffolk is not one of the places in the 757 that I would think of for Filipino food but Kusina is worth a visit if you are close by. The restaurant is clean and inviting. It is a turo-turo (point point) type restaurant and there is seating. We came in for just a snack but everything they had out looked fresh and delicious! Their menu changes so follow on their social medias for what they have for the day. Service was polite, friendly and helpful in letting customers know about menu items. We ordered chicken lumpias and chicken siopoa (steamed buns). The lumpias are the long skinny ones...they were fried to order...crispy and tasty. The siopao was one of the best ones I've had in a long time...ALMOST as good as my mom's. The bun to filling ratio was perfect. Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at the newly opened Kusina Filipino Cuisine restaurant. KFC (lol) has taken over the space previously occupied by Totoy's, a beloved local establishment known for its delicious Filipino turo-turo cuisine. The new restaurant has undergone some renovations and menu changes, which are quite noticeable.

I sincerely hope that the new owners have taken the time to understand and preserve the dishes that were popular with the local clientele.
I am grateful for the continued presence of excellent Filipino food in the area, and I extend my appreciation to the restaurant for their efforts....
