Skrimp Shack — Restaurant in Suffolk

I am upset that my 39 of 40 days of no eating meat I just found out about this place. It would be great if flags for the shop is placed on the main road, because you wouldn't know it was there. Fortunately, some one mentioned it to me because finding a place that serves tasty fast food fish is difficult. The place is clean and has a decent seating area. Good music playing from the kitchen. The menu is easy to read with an excellent selection of fish, "skrimp", and side dishes. I purchased the catfish sandwich with a side, and a drink. Oh My Goodness. The price $ I paid for this amazing sandwich and sweet potato fries was well worth it. There was fish in my sandwich not a batter sandwich. I had to cut my sandwich in quarters, because it was that large. Oooooo they had Texas Pete..... Heaven I will go back again and try their other items. I say cancel Captain D's and Long John Silvers for this place.

Went back for another meal. I got the shrimp and whiting basket with a side of greens. It was just enough portions for me to eat.

What I enjoy so far about the food is the limit of seasonings used because I prefer to season my own food, because I want to keep my pressure normal. The difference between this place and fast food places is your getting real fish...

I ate here Friday. The young lady, behind the register didn't ask how can I help you, greet me or anything. The reason being is that she was on the phone. She had her ear piece in & was having a conversation. So, I literally had to stand in front of her & say, "hi"!

I asked her about the shrimp tacos & the coleslaw. The shrimp tacos in the picture we're fried. They were grilled or broiled. So, I told her I wanted to try the shrimp tacos. She asked me the flavor I wanted. I tried the mango spicy. She didn't give me the option of fried shrimp or broiled/ grilled. I assumed my shrimp in the tacos would NOT be fried because they were not fried in the picture. Welp,.when they were brought to me, they were fried. Uggh...

Maybe had she not been on her phone, she would have been able to give me options. I really didn't want fried shrimp. I was on my lunch break & didn't have time to go back to the counter.

Then, she also DIDN'T tell me my jalapeños would come in a plastic cup & not on the tacos.

The food is amazing, the employees have no personality, except one guy in the back cooking, who when asked, handed me a tongo tray and some tartar sauce. When ordering it was like talking to a very shy 5 yo, she didn't speak up, and when I placed a to go order with my order she totally dismissed it and didnt even ring it up. After we paid for what she did ring up (which is what my hubs and I were eating there), she said "Oh, I didnt ring up your to go order, you need to pay for that." I was shocked, WHY? Then the lady that brought out our food to the table acted like I had beat her; she comes to the table and stands there looking me in the eye and says Emily, Emily, Emily. Im steadily shaking my head yes and saying "Yes Ma'am!", repeatedly. Finally, I reached out for the food and she finally put it on the...
