The milk tea is the star of the show here. I’ve been to a lot of places that offer it, and this was one of the best brown sugar milk teas I’ve ever had. There are ample tapioca pearls if you add that as a topping. The lid for the cup was unique and a bit odd as they appear to use one that is meant for hot coffee, as opposed to the lids that are used at most places which is essentially a thin piece of plastic wrap; I like it, it’s resealable in case you’re looking to travel with it. There are large TVs inside playing K-pop music videos 😂 it’s a nice touch. The eggs in the ramen are marinated and soft boiled to perfection. There was a lot of meat in the pork belly ramen, more than most other places would give, and it is pretty tasty, almost a maple-y flavor.
Okay, now for the gripes I have: The ramen isn’t served hot, all of our bowls were just warm. Every really good ramen shop I’ve been to served a piping hot bowl, it is meant to come out hot enough to burn your mouth if you don’t slurp it. It clears the sinuses, right? Makes you go “ahhh” and wipe the sweat from your face😂. The broth was not very flavorful. I was hoping for something tonkotsu-like, since they don’t actually have that on the menu; it tasted like the pork belly and nothing else. The takoyaki was too plain, and all the sauce was served on the side, it was a bit thicker than takoyaki sauce, more like unagi sauce. The bonito flake was a strange size, very small strands as opposed to standard flakes. There’s no mayonnaise on the takoyaki, they were bland. They serve a free fried scallion “pancake”; it’s good but should be served with a sauce; duck sauce would be great in my opinion, because they are a bit dry.
All in all, this place is quite close to where I work. Like I said, the milk tea is delicious, I’d come for that alone. As for the other food I ordered, it wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad. Very solid choice for the area during lunch or dinner-time. They serve alcohol here, including spiked milk tea 😮 interesting but i...
Read moreIt’s a very good place to eat and drink. Lunch and dinner are decent. We have a small gathering at the bar for dinner and all of us love the food. Waiters there serve everyone pretty well and the owners are so friendly. They offer us free shots for try and some samples of their upcoming menu. My son as a teenager love the atmosphere there, the music and the decoration are so relaxing and chill. The bubble tea is the best in the area and I can tell the noodle is traditional recipe from Hong Kong. For the bubble tea, I highly recommend the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with the homemade boba while for the noodles section, beef lover should try the beef ramen. There’s corn dog there which is the most popular side dishes at 9 bar. The first time I walk in I saw lots of customer ordered it and I had a try. It didn’t let me down at all and I love it so much. Besides customer are able to customize their own corn dog themselves. I took a picture of the seafood ramen and Cloud Thai Tea; the ramen taste good and it’s full of seafood and the Thai Tea is different from what I tasted outside, it’s awesome and I can’t really describe with words. Lastly, 9 bar had became my best restaurant in the area of Aurora, it will be the best experience for y’all trying out this new...
Read more1st time here. Took family for my sister's birthday; Party of 8 people + infant. It's smaller than I thought, not a full restaurant. Not very busy when we went at 4pm on a Saturday. Overall, it seems more flash than bang. The non-alcoholic drinks were really good, though; Good price and very yummy! The alcoholic drinks were basically no alcohol; they felt like 2% at best. Even got the Ferris Wheel of shots for the birthday girl, which looked cool but not even a buzz. However, birthday girl ended up sick from them this morning, but that could have been from the shrimp... S&S chicken rice bowl was ok, but was more like thin chicken strips with breading. Most of us were just eh about our food. The waitresses messed up giving out drinks and food for a few of us. FYI- There is no diaper changing station in the bathrooms! To top it off, we each unexpectedly got a "Large Party (18%)" charge on each tab that wasn't disclosed to us at the beginning nor posted anywhere. Hopefully, that goes to the waitresses but unclear. Overall, I'd get the drinks again but wouldn't eat there. Also, they don't do anything for Birthdays unless you do something,...
