The Burger House — Restaurant in Sugar Land

I ordered a pickup order through DoorDash. When I got there, I told the older guy this and a lady comes out later with a bag. I also tell her that I’m picking up my DoorDash order. I have my phone in my hand and she asks to see the order receipt. My phone connection is acting up and the app isn’t loading. I tell her this and give her my name thinking she can verify the order that way. She shakes her head no and says she needs to see the confirmation. I ask her if the restaurant has WiFi that I can connect to. She proceeds to IGNORE me. I ask again. She takes the bag and WALKS AWAY, leaving me standing there confused. I stand there at the counter, restart my phone just so I can pull this information up, which I’m sure she could have EASILY verified on her part if she would have been willing to help out a customer. If I hadn’t already paid for it, I would have left. When I finally get the receipt confirmation, I walk up to the window they have in the back to show her. She looks at it, points to the bag sitting on the window counter and walks away again, saying nothing. VERY RUDE ENCOUNTER! Ok. You've heard, "don't judge a book by its cover" but really don't. This place is hidden away in a random complex off of Highway 6 but it's a good place to try if you're craving fresh burgers. I absolutely dislike the decor or lack thereof. I wish it had a friendly vibe so it felt more like a fun burger joint, as opposed to a cafeteria. But look past all of this. The menu offers you what'd you expect of a burger place. The meals are a steal. You get a great amount of food for a reasonable price AND you have access to their topping bar for no additional charge. I wish the place has more specialty items on the menu like spicy fries slathered in their "house" sauce with meat or something. I like the concept of the metal trays-- makes it easy for kids and cleanup after. The service was good. They could use some music or anything to liven up the place. The food I gave it 5 stars but the customer service is horrible.I called in to pick up 2 burgers beef and turkey.And i ended up paying for 3 burgers.The teenager girl cashier was taking my order with Very heavy accent.I reapeted beef and turkey burgers though the phone.When I came to pick up my fault I didn't look at the receipt and signed it.I looked in the bag and it had 3 burgers and she was telling me I said Fish.I told her 2 burgers not 3 and I said beef not fish.Instead of saying sorry.She gave me an attitude and started to argue with me while I was being very nice about it.Even the lady owner has bad attitude when the last time I went there I forget to tell her I want it with cheese.Instead of add few more cent for cheese on my card she gave me a look.I had really unpleasant feeling when I...
