Wow! Just wow! My Nikah is Friday, something we planned last minute, so I was in a hurry to find something modest but beautiful. I reached for my phone and used Google to find someplace in a reachable distance to see if maybe they had an online store or would ship to me right away. The owner does in fact ship, and she also does have a website for online shopping. I live 3 hours away, so she started texting me pictures of things she had in stock and last minute decided ok, I am just going to drive up there. So many cute and good quality products on the shelves. I was able to walk out with not only my abaya for the Nikah, but with 2 under pieces, 4 hijabs, 2 abayas for my daughters and a throbe for my son. And a few accessories as well! I spent about $400 on 3 loaded bags of goodies! For 4 people!!! On full outfits!!! For my wedding!! Yes crazy affordable! Very affordable products by the way across the board. A very large selection and they do alterations so you aren’t drowning in sizes that are not made to your fit. I am shaped more like a hippo with short legs instead of a tall slender sleek gazelle. I was able to find something that made me feel beautiful and they customised the fit perfectly!! Turn around time is a day or two so you aren’t waiting weeks for alterations like most places. I was totally shocked when I found out she was only there 2 years. The quality of the receipts was thick paper, her receipts are even printed clearly and presented neatly organised, her bags were labeled with her logo, she had a beautiful sign posted on the outside of the store, it was very clean, customer service is 100%. There’s just no way someone could walk in and leave disappointed. I drove 6 hours total with my 5 children and made it home at midnight and do not have a single regret. You can tell the owner put so much time and thought into everything she did and brought into her store. Every small detail was planned. Her employee also was fabulous! I promise these things at her store you can’t just Amazon or walk to another local store to get. She’s very unique and sets herself apart from other stores and websites. I was visiting a friend in Houston and, as a hijabi, was curious what modest boutiques were in the area. I made a list of a few to pop in during my trip; based on the photos seen here on Google, Elegance Galleria was at the top of my list. This lovely boutique was tucked away in the shopping plaza next door to another Islamic clothing store on my list. I chose Elegance first, due to the gorgeous window dressing on display. As you enter, you are greeted by a kind and helpful staff member who will go out of their way to help you and even offer coffee and water whilst you shop. They aren’t pushy or trying to get you the highest priced items — instead they hear your vision and help you find the best dress or abaya that embodies it and fits you. The store is immaculate — organized clearly and well taken care of. The dressing room area has seating and mirrors and varied lighting. As a plus size woman, it can be difficult and, frankly, even embarrassing to struggle to fit abayas and dresses in the majority of Muslim clothing boutiques. :( However, their selection had a fairly inclusive size range! Within ten minutes I had found my perfect Eid abaya… a flowy bright coral pink abaya with gorgeous tiers and delicate rhinestone edges. It came with a sash and matching hijab AND was well within my budget. Alhamdulillah.
