The wife and I popped in on a Tuesday evening after getting off work. I’ll admit, it wasn’t our first choice. However, I’m glad we tried it out. The drinks were a little slow, a glass of wine and a mixed cocktail, but not enough to be upset about. I noticed the restaurant quickly filling up and the staff was quickly trying to get to everyone. Our server maintained the same high quality of service even though she probably got double or triple sat with the inflow of guest. Something told me she was either very new or just a few months into this job but she did exceptionally well.
The food was great. We tried the fried Calamari as an appetizer, my wife had Lasagna and I had something I can’t remember but it was served hot and beautifully presented. My only complaint is the dish names are not your “east Texas names” (that’s why I can’t remember what dish I ordered) so reading the menu is a little difficult as it seems to be a lot of Italian named sections. (I get it, it’s an Italian restaurant). Still not enough to be upset about.
The real stars were that kitchen staff. It seemed to be like they were the ones running the restaurant. The leadership came from them and the front of house staff followed their every command. They fellas held it down in the kitchen all while making sure stuff up front got handled.
Over all would definitely return with friends and family in the...
Read moreWhat a great little place. Nice cozy atmosphere to set the mood for a great Italian meal. The meal started with their little garlic knots bread being brought to the table. Make sure to get these they are wonderful. I ordered the aragosta pasta, which is the lobster ravioli. Nice creamy sauce but not too heavy. Flavor was perfect and the ravioli were stuffed perfectly, not too much, not too little. My hubby ordered the San Remo special which included grilled chicken in spicy pomedero sauce. He said it was also excellent. We ended with a creme brulee that was awesome! Nice smooth and creamy with some berries on top. You could see the little flecks of the real vanilla beans used to make the dessert. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. Their menu has lunch specials on the back that includes several items from lasagna to spaghetti to chicken parm. We felt the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food you receive. Portions were perfect for us, to not make you feel over full and miserable. Our waitress was so sweet and friendly, very attentive. We will definitely return when...
Read moreIt was massed confusion at the door it took over 15mins to get anyone attention to check in for seating. After ordering drinks our server brought us back something other than what we ordered and argued us down we were wrong when even other guest admitted the drinks Nick brought us wasn't what we ordered. When we asked another server about the drinks she too confirm they were incorrect and when the bartender was asked she couldn't remember what she made. We were never offered any bread when we asked it still took 30mins and when they arrive it came wrapped in foil as a to. Our appetizers came out burning hot but our food was cold we received candles but no one ever explained or came by to light them. It just seems alot of training needs to be done and the staff needs to be knowledgeable and confident about what they are serving it was a very disappointing experience back to Rockwall we go and another bum Italian restaurant for...
