Redneck Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Sulphur Springs

It was my 1st time there and ordered a med rare steak, it came out med. I sent it back and the ‘kitchen manger maybe’ brought a new out for me. I told her this was perfect and she proceeded to tell me the was ‘rare’ and that they cook it to temperature. I said no the 1st one was medium and this was med rare. The waitress was sweet but didn’t now prices on drinks and would have to go ask about food our food questions. She was talking to the table next to us and I heard her say that someone sent their steak back the other night and she took it home. We ordered the salmon too and it was a little over cooked. We didn’t even mention that to them. When I pay good money for a steak I want it to be the way I like it. Will not be going back, just due to the person who come out and trying to be smart and schools me on how she cooks it. I came here with all of my colleagues for a lunch event back in March of 2018 and for most of us this was the first time vising Redneck Bar and Grill. I have to say, I wasnt terribly impressed. They crammed us in a dark corner of the restaurant with the dimmest lighting possible and then forgot about us. It literally took several of us to ask where our food was before we finally started seeing things come out. It was 1.5 hours spent at that place! That was the longest lunch Ive ever had, and since then we have not gone due to the fact that we are busy people and need a fast lunch! Now about the food, I wasnt really impressed either. Compared with Texas Roadhouse, these steaks were thin, fatty and extremely salty. I wasnt happy, but I ate anyways. Also didnt like the coleslaw which had a funky taste to it. We have tried this place a few times to give it time to maybe improve on things, but each time it's just not that good. Today my wife had the pork chop with baked potatoe and salad. Well a salad is a salad no matter how you do it and her pork chop was moist cooked perfectly and the flavor was great but her baked potatoe was not even hot enough to melt cheese! I had the special which was a 8oz filet with grilled shrimp, baked potatoe and carrots. Well my steak was way OVER cooked my shrimp were overcooked and chewy, my potatoe was the same as my wife's and my carrots were luke warm. I sent the steak back and then it came out under cooked.
