Tate Cove Seafood II — Restaurant in Sulphur

I made an online order on a saturday evening: There was a tip automatically added to my order, if I wasn't paying attention it would have added an additional $4 and change to my total. 2.I ordered the corn nuggets and after my order was submitted I received a phone call that that item was out. It was a very fast response and I appreciated the fact that they called instead of waiting until I got there to tell me. When I arrived at the drive thru I was quickly greeted and told my order would be up shortly. There was a wait but it appeared that only two or three people were working. The food: I ordered chicken, chicken livers, cajun fries, mashed potatoes, fried okra, and catfish filets. Everything was fresh and well cooked. There was good seasoning. The only complaints/critiques I have is that the filet was a little small, and the mash potatoes and gravy were subpar. The chicken was juicy and hot. Fries and okra cooked perfectly. Livers were a little overcooked, but thats how I like them anyway so... Overall for an affordable meal it was worth it and I will go back. It is so clean and sanitary inside. They make their money on the drive through. So if you eat inside you have the place of privacy. I always get a dozen shrimp that way over a pound. Your choice on the side order, a roll, salad and a drink with free refills for 10.99. You can't finish the shrimp unless you are a beast. I can only eat 7 shrimp because they are so big. They have oysters and shrimp combo cheap. The batter is perfect. I love the people that work there. They are of Asian culture, but speak enough English you can understand. As long as this place is open I will always eat there. I started bringing my family and friends and they want eat seafood anywhere but there. We wanted to try something new. I should have looked around before I ordered. This place was dirty. Had trash and stuff on every table. We had to move the napkins and split salt to sit. The food took twenty five minutes to make. We ordered each a shrimp dinner. The shrimp were large but not a lot of flavor. I ordered onion rings, and they were ok. My husband ordered tots, and they were better than tbe shrimp to him. The tarter sauce that came with the order was good. The worst part of the entire visit is that they have the most annoying door bell sound every single time the door opens.
