This place may look like a common Mom & Pop Restaurant with little special or unique for it, but it's only when you get the food is this place really gets to shine, not only they have excellent seafood/cajun food, not only are they cheap to get, but there are two things that can make it special for me:
sure it may look rustic and cheap, but what makes up for it are a friendly family of ladies who's always welcome to chat and great delicious food that some of them you can't get anywhere else around here (or all of Louisiana, or maybe even this country besides Texas, I know I looked it up) at really cheap prices,
so... what I'm trying to say is, I suggest you try this place, the food and service is really,...
Read moreI am from Rayne - Lafayette Louisiana area and know about boiled crawfish. I stopped here on a whim and bought 10 pounds of boiled crawfish to bring to my new home in Orange, Texas. First of all, they were understaffed, busy, but the young lady behind the register was upbeat, kind and efficient. I was not asked if I wanted mild, medium, or hot, which is a tradition and expected. Several people attempting to check out commented that their order was wrong but they "took too long" so forgo waiting again to get the right order. I received my 10 lbs of boiled crawfish ( which I paid $71 for) in a cardboard box lined in newspaper! Well, this order is "to go", I wonder what I would have done with a leaky box if I had not had a clean black trash bag in my vehicle??? My husband loves boiled crawfish and has had some of the best in Southwest Louisiana ( Crawfish Hut in Rayne, La. is his favorite). He ate these by the hardest. They were small to medium, which is okay if they would have been easy to eat!! The meat of the tail stuck to the shell and most could not be eaten. They were also very spicy. We will not be patronizing your establishment again. A shame because I believe everyone goes into business to be...
Read moreAmazing food. Every single time we are in town, we have to stop. Fast, friendly service, and some of the best boudin to be found. We love everything we get, from the gumbo, to fried shrimp, and the Po Boys. Great location just north of Interstate 10. Worth a stop if you are in town to visit, or for business, or just passing through. You will not be disappointed! Another fantastic visit last week. Got 5 pounds of warm boudin for the car, and another 8 for the ice chest. The stuff in the front seat didn't make to Houston, and it was gone. Great, friendly service, and...
