Worked at the Monroe franchise in high school, so knowing them & their practices inside and out helps me come to this review: TIME is of their #1 utmost importance. As an ex manager there, I can tell you that their ingredients from their handmade dough, to their hand chopped veggies, and to their truck delivered cheese & meats that you'll never have to question their freshness or the restaurants cleanliness, as none of the food is ever hardly able to be contaminated by anything else & though mostly everything almost ALWAYS is used up wayyy prior to an expiration date .. period... But the few things that are rarely used Such as anchovies or rre occasions we prepare way more dough than we use in expectance of maybe Superbowl weekend or graduation weekends etc.. we do not hesitate or question throwing leftovers out & replacing with freshly made batches. Period. They take health & cleanliness& safety very serious. As far as everything else: deliveries, cust. Service, in-restaurant eating etc... Each store would differ on all these things individually honestly but as a whole and as the franchises expectations and practices in general: I know that the quickness of each delivery is taken seriously, however, if a weekend or a night surprises us & becomes a hectic, very BUSY, night (especially when it's unexpectedly & for no obvious reasons) well we cannot help that, and more orders create longer delivery times, or longer wait times In general for takeouts, eat-ins, etc. But the order of the orders coming in is always keptpretty much priority, so if your orders taking longer than expected, rest easy knowing regardless that your order hasn't been skipped, it's still coming in order received, but also, never hesitate to call and ask a status as somehing like a sudden accident on the road or a new driver missing your address etc will affect the delivery & promptness & may be unknown to the managers unless you call asking, & we can call & find out what's up for you right away & if it's something like a new driver maybe missing about the directions or if something likeroad work or accident is causing delays & you'd like to have the driver turn off somewhere &meet you on the road instead of at house then we have no problem with that & can have drivers. You to setup a different meet spot . "Quiet mouths remain unfed" I think is he quote, but very true. Help us help you.
As far as the menu here .. Sahara pizza still today remains my all time favorite pizza place period to order from, and nowadays their newer addition (since 2007 when I worked there!) The GRINDERS are my all time favorite take-out food,, my choice over any other place as well, they are so good & I feel properly priced!...
Read moreMy family and I spend a lot of money with this establishment, and while the customer service has never been the greatest today was far worse. We called and ordered a delivery. From the time that the phone was answered to the time the call ended I found myself wondering why I would continue the order. This girl by far is one of the rudest people I have experienced. After ordering the pizzas I asked about the sandwiches as they are not listed on the online menu. Instead of just telling me that they do still have the sandwiches and what kinds they have she proceeded in arguing with me about the menu that I was still looking at and telling me that they are too listed on the menu. I then had to ask what kind they have and was told "Oh we have a lot" I had to ask a second time to find out what kinds. Now the order is placed and I am informed it will be to my home in about 45 minutes. I hung up and did not think much more about the behavior I had experienced chalking it up to maybe this girl was having a bad day. Until over an hour later and my order was still not to me and I had to call back. I was greeted with this same girls attitude. First she answered the phone as if she was at home (which can happen) however, when I asked if this was Sahara's Pizza I was snapped at and told that I had to wait and not exactly in the nicest of ways. When I snapped back ok I guess she could hear the tone of my voice and asked "what is it that you need?" I enquired about my order and was told it should be there anytime. The pizza arrived about 10 minutes later. I will never go back or order from the Sultan Sahara Pizza again. I will order from Monroe and drive to pick it up. As I stated in the beginning of this complaint this is not the first time My family or I have been treated with rudeness form here. Nor is it the second, third, or even fourth time. Maybe when these kids are being trained they could be trained a little/lot better in the customer service area. There are a lot of other businesses with young people working at them who do not...
Read moreUpdate: although after my last review the management asked me to reach out to them. I reached out to them multiple times and they never got back to me so there might be a little improvement needed on the management side of things. But I will say that the pizza that I just got today December 15th was made absolutely perfectly. The toppings were evenly distributed. They did not skimp on the toppings at all. The pizza was loaded with toppings. It was cooked to perfection. The woman that took my order on the phone was genuinely nice and you could tell that she cared about what she was doing. I'm used to getting teenagers at this location and unfortunately they tend to not care so much about the service or the product. That was not the case today. I am incredibly grateful that they have found such a good employee. I will definitely be ordering more pizza from them when I get a chance. My son did order a meatball sub and I will say that the sauce on the sub is not very good. It's very sweet and does not complement it at all. We actually ended up scraping the sauce off and adding our own sauce made with San marzano tomatoes. That is my only complaint. It is also a little odd that when you order a large sandwich you just get two sandwiches, but certainly not something worthy of complaining about. Just pointing it out for the next person who orders one. We will definitely be back
Way too expensive for what you get. The pizza was good, ridiculously expensive though. 2 Xtra large pizzas for 60 bucks? We ordered a pizza with pepperoni and meatballs and each slice had only one meatball 🤣 for 30 bucks a pizza, you should be covering that pizza...
