Last night was my first time going to Sultan Thai restaurant. The outside appearance is quite plain, the setting is roadside strip mall.plenty of parking. Inside is somewhat spartan, very clean and well maintained from what I remember. The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome. They were attentive but not bothersome. It was as if they were waiting to be signaled when needed, of course they would still show up if your water glass was getting low. The menu was simple to read, several well layed out pages in a sturdy binder with all of the expected categories. I did not see beer on the menu, but when I asked, it was available. No Thai beer yet, but has been ordered. I ordered crispy Basil chicken 5 Stars and my friend ordered Garlic chicken 2 Stars, both were dinner's. They also brought the spice tray in case we wanted more heat. We both ended up using the spice tray heavily,. I found the fish sauce with hot Asian peppers excellent, but try not to overdo it as it will change the flavor of your food. So yes the food was good 👍, hot enough to make my nose run a bit and also tasty enough that neither of us talked too much until all food was gone. What must be remembered is that this is not a 'fancy' Thai restaurant, there are probably some things not available. This is just good food, friendly atmosphere and...
Read moreWe ordered take out last night. My usual go to, Thai on Main, is closed Sunday…I decided to try Sultan Thai over Benjarong due to the good reviews, both online and in person. Not sure if it was an off night, but both the Golden Noodles and Pad Thai were very disappointing. Pad Thai was unusually sweet and sticky, unlike any other I’ve had - not in a good way. Golden Noodle was just…indescribably disappointing. I’ve ordered that dish numerous times elsewhere, the flavor of this one was off. Crab Delight and Mango Sticky Rice…and my kids chicken nuggets and fries…are the reason for 2 stars. We don’t order out much and therefore probably won’t try here again when we know we can get food at the usual places without feeling like it was a waste of money. I wish we had a...
Read moreUpdate: We have stopped ordering weekly, we just can't afford the prices. It really seems like their prices have increased, or portions have gone down. Spending $50 or $60 doesn't provide enough for a family of four anymore. Rice portions are too small, and a few times the rice containers aren't even filled up all the way. While their food is top notch and amazing, the cost is important. We started going back to startup teriyaki.

This place is delicious, and incredibly fresh. My favorite is I loge broccoli, and the orange chicken is to die for. My 4 yr old is a VERY picky eater - only likes rice - she loves the orange chicken!!! The owners are really nice, brought special children's cups and plates to us, offered a special juice. Loved coming here for...
