Bob's Burgers & Brew — Restaurant in Sumas

I wish there was a zero star. I worked at bobs in Lynden for years so though I may be thought to have a higher expectation, that is just not the case. I've been there a few times in the restaurant with my family over the past year and a half. Every time....we get the same waitress who is absolutely stunningly rude... I thought the first time maybe she's having a bad day then we got her again and same thing, just has zero customer service skills...never cared to check on us and everytime we asked for something it was like we asked her to send our food back and start over... (could we get the ranch?----please note the one that we had asked for when we ordered Or could we get silverware please?) The final time was a few weeks ago when I went in and she saw me and my 2 kids standing there and said "to go?" I said "no, we were hoping to eat in." and she walks away. She is standing in the back (we could see her) doing nothing, just blatantly ignoring us. Finally comes out, grabs menus, and starts walking away. She turns around and says "are you coming?". We got seated and 20 minutes later she comes over and says "if you can't tell I was busy, that's where it took so long". I was more than kind and we ordered. She comes back and says "did you order the bacon ranch chicken salad or burger?" I said "neither, the wrap with fries please" She says "okay" and walks away. When she brings the food she brought it out with a salad instead of fries and I said "I'm so sorry but I ordered fries"(PS I will always choose fries over a salad, lets be honest....) She rips the salad off my plate, and brings the fries back after we had already finished eating. I asked for a box and. the bill...the bill comes and she charged me for a large plate of fries. Ok...that was long. This girl SHOULD NOT have a job there. I never catch her name. She looks Russian and has dark hair. Honestly, I have never in my life had such poor and rude customer service. I will not...

I recently visited Bob's Burger in Sumas and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Upon arrival, we had to seat ourselves at a vacant table that hadn’t been cleaned properly from previous customers, which was off-putting.

As loyal patrons of Bob's Burger in Blaine, we’ve always enjoyed their excellent service and homemade-style burgers. However, the quality at this location was noticeably lacking. The burger patties were thin and seemed almost frozen, quite different from the thicker, more homemade patties we’re used to. I ordered my burger rare, but it came out medium well. After sending it back, it was returned the same way again, which was frustrating.

Our server initially saw us sitting down but continued chatting with friends instead of attending to us. After about 10 minutes, she finally came over to our dirty table, which we had requested to be wiped down, and then took our order. I specifically emphasized that I wanted my burger rare, but it seems the message didn’t get through.

Overall, the service was not great, and the quality definitely differs from the Blaine location. I hope they can improve in these areas, as we had high expectations based on our previous...

Ouch! Grabbed a bacon Swiss burger "plain and dry" to go and received one that had everything on it with cheddar.The gentleman who took my order called John was doing an amazing job out here and literally was running around trying his best to accommodate the rush of customers assigned to him. I told him i have to get the burger plain due to allergies. John apologized and had me stand by while he got me the correct burger, we checked it before I left and it looked right. Unfortunately when I got to my location to eat, I discovered that the cook made a huge error by performing a sloppy scrape it off and put on a new bun trick. Very lazy and unprofessional. I wonder what other type of short cuts this place takes? Anywho the JoJos were horrible and I just ended up give the whole order to Gus, an old hound at my next stop. He loved it! On a side note this business is in severe disarray due to recent flooding in the area and operating only from its tiny bar area. Construction is going on during business hours and it smells when you first walk in the door. I'm afraid they are doing themselves and customers a disservice by operating like this. Hope things get worked...
