Alfredos of Summersville — Restaurant in Summersville

This place is absolutely disgusting. First off. We were only in town for the weekend So first night we got takeout pizza from here. Was told 15 to 20 minutes for pick up time got there at the 25 minute mark and had to wait another 15 minutes for it to get done. Got back to the hotel and opened up a box of a soggy mess, but whatever we were starving, we ate. Fast-forward a few hours and my husband and I are both woken up to the horrible bubble guts… Which continued the next day. WE BOUGHT TWO EXTRA LARGE PIZZAS WITH THE INTENTION OF HAVING LEFTOVERS FOR LUNCH THE NEXT DAY, RESULTING IN AN EXTRA LARGE PIZZA THROWN IN THE DUMPSTER THE NEXT DAY. Considering it was $55 for two extra large pizzas, I called the place the following day trying to speak with a manager or the owner anybody, manager my complaints said he’d call me back later when they weren’t so busy and never heard from him again. Call back a couple days later spoke with some Italian man and asked him for at least a partial refund but he told me his pizza doesn’t make anybody sick and that maybe the owner would call me back, this was last week and I haven’t heard anything. I’m just going to put reviews on every platform I can to try to at least steer away as much business from this disgusting place...

Service was horrible. The young girl was bubbly and nice but she couldn't waitress what so ever. She took out order ,walk 10 steps or so to put it in and give the kitchen our order completely wrong. And all my husband and I order was a med.supreme pizza with no black olives and mushrooms on half . (Something we thought would be easy while traveling through this area) Then she wasn't bothered by messing it up. Nor did she offer any silverware ,I had to go get it myself. Nor did she check on refills . My husband had to drink some of my drink. Then to top off all that she charged us for large pizza instead of medium. And didn't offer lower price or no discounts for messed up order or bad experience. And while eating our wrong pizza she did the exact same thing to the 2 customers behind us by getting the orders wrong with their pastas and they didn't have time for new order either because of work. So my advice , skip this place . And I don't complain on these surveys like this . But we were truly very disappointed and...

My husband doesn't like to tip. I've know this about him for a long time and I tend to leave the tip to balance things out. Due to his principles he believes a tip should be earned rather than expected, something I can understand but disagree with, unfortunately there have been very few experiences in which he's left a tip willingly. Not that he's picky or stingy, but a restaurant experience has yet to exceed his expectations.

When we went to Alfredo's, it started as a normal lunch experience. He got a calzone, I got a chicken Mediterranean pasta. He took a bite of mine and I swear I saw him transcend time and space itself. He took a bite of his calzone and it was like he'd heard music for the first time in his life. He talked about it for the rest of the day. (I wish I was exagerrating)

He thanked the chef personally for the meal, and for the first time that I can recall, left a tip he believed was well-earned.
