China Restaurant — Restaurant in Summerville

This was my second time here. Years apart but very similar experience. We went at lunch. Around noon. The restaurant was clean, employees friendly, food stocked and hot (buffet). There are three bars, offering such items as sweet and sour chicken, pepper steak, broccoli and veggies, two rices (white and yellow) the second bar offered a variety of soups, chicken on a stick, etc. third bar was fruit/dessert type. All bars streaming hot (and cold ). I can say after my second round of pepper steak ilmy plate did cool rather quickly. Im not certain why as there is quite a bit of steaalm coming from the bar area. All and all, fresh food, great service, clean restaurant all for under $20 with drinks for 2 people . Cant beat it. I'll be back. FYI sign says...

I love, love, love American Chinese. My favorite is No 1 in Lafayette but China in Trion has certain choices I am very pleased with. But recently what I used to order has been greatly downsized at the same price. I understand due to inflation it might be alittle less but not half less with the prices remaining the same. I am a fan of beef teriyaki which is a satay marinated beef on a wooden skewer. Today I got half the size of the normal quanity. The combination dinner used to be 2 dinners for me now is only one. So it comes down to this. I will cook my favs and freeze them. With the gas and smaller potions, it is cost effective to make your own. Sorry, China but you are not worth the trip anymore. This hole in the wall restaurant is easily one of the best Chinese places around. The food (esp to go orders ) is always very fresh and taste great. They are able to create outstanding food in ten minutes consistently year after year.

I've eaten at plenty of Chinese restaurants all over the country and this is easily one of the better ones. The dishes are always fresh with a lot of flavor.
