Hardee’s — Restaurant in Summerville

If I could give this review zero stars, I would. When we first walked into this establishment, there was cardboard all over the floor, trash cans everywhere, I’m assuming their pots were malfunctioning as it was very smoky and smelled putrid, tons of DHEC violations, sweating over the food, wiping foreheads with bare hands & gloves etc. Once getting to the counter, my occupant ordered her food promptly and afterwards I stood there waiting to order for 10 minutes as the young woman behind the counter wandered around. After ordering, they stated that they needed to drop fresh chicken which was fine. I watched them twice pull the chicken then have to throw it back in the pot because it was undercooked (i.e. malfunctioning pots). Finally after sitting there for 30 minutes we decided to just cancel our order because the restaurant was profoundly nasty, the malfunctioned equipment and just overall service. The young woman stated she cannot give us a refund without a reason and went back and forth with my occupant for a good ten minutes. The best thing we got from this visit was eventually receiving our refund and leaving. I love Hardee’s but I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. Absolutely filthy. Read the former review if you want to know how far down this place has fallen. This Hardee's has new owners, or management. And they are doing a horrible job. Don't go if you need to pay by Credit Card, machines were taken out and workers have no idea if they will be replaced. The window sign deals aren't taken down so the 2 for 1 deal expired and isn't honored. The place has torn vinyle on a bench as you go in. Coffee is behind the counter, guess customers can't get their own now. Workers that used to keep this place going are gone, and service is lacking. Maybe the new owners should show up and work. The drive through line blocked parking. There are potholes that could bust your axel almost on the drive through. All in all just go someplace else!

This is our usual Hardee's since it's close and mostly has pretty good food. I got a cinnamon roll and it was really good. We also got a big breakfast plate, biscuit and gravy, eggs, bacon, tots. Great except for the bacon. Asked for well done, crisp bacon. Gat medium cooked limp bacon, which I like, but this wasn't my meal. As you can see the bacon is not crisp. I stopped by this location a few times a month as I passed by it on my way to work. It seems they are always out of coke. This morning, I stopped by and was told that it was cash only which is fine. I understand technology will be technology. When I informed them, I did not have cash at the drive-through. I asked if I could order on the app. The woman became rude and stated I can’t scan anything when I was asking her what there was to scan because I wanted to order on the app. She again kept telling me she could not do that because she couldn’t scan anything. I finally broke it down into simpler terms and said no honey I want to order and pay on the app. She then replied oh you were making it seem like you were trying to pay with the app I said in frustration finally you know what don’t worry about it and she replied oh I’m not. What a disgusting display of customer service when she was the one that couldn’t grasp the concept of me wanting to order and pay on my app. I know everywhere is hiring and shortstaffed, but I’d rather work with two people in a whole facility then have someone like that...
