Every time we go here, the service is horrible and the people taking the orders and at the first window don’t even look at you and barely let you order before they cut you off with “is that all?” & when you get to have them the card or get the card back, they just hold their hand out so you have to reach heavily to grab it. It’s obvious they don’t want to work there so if that’s the case, they should find a new job where they actually seem to care.
Now regarding TODAYS incident on 10/08/2024 @ 6 ish PM, they have us our drinks with NO ICE & my husbands sweet tea looks like it has pulp and sludge in it to where the tea’s appearance looks like it’s milky. My toddler won’t even drink it. The meat in the burgers always has charred ends when I get a burger from there and the pepper flakes on the patty is insane where I taste pepper with a side of burger. How disappointing. I’ve worked food and bev for years and I’ve never had a bad review of service and if anything’s happened with the food, I get the chefs to go back and fix it. Obviously it’s different for fast food, but yall could at least have good service. I’m 23 and know better than to obviously show my emotions that are negative at work when I’m serving people, but besides one incident at another fast food place, I’ve never felt so disrespected and disregarded grabbing food on days where I’m too busy and can’t whip something up. McDonald’s on dorchester road has never failed in giving the WORST customer service EVERY SINGLE TIME I go whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
I rarely go here because of the food and service being mediocre at best on their BEST days I’ve had them, but the service is always horrid and reminds me why I almost never eat here. If my toddler won’t even touch the food or drinks from here, then I know it’s not right at all. If you look closely, you can see all the pulp and sludgy flake things. If I put a video, there’s so many pulp looking flakes moving around. The last photo with the little liquid left after it’s poured out shows all those...
Read moreFor clarity, we visited the location on Dorchester, at the Old Trolley Road location.
First, there is absolutely no room for error & operational performance speed from the crew, as there is nowhere to pull forward & wait. Unfortunately, our order was wrong, items where prepared wrong & also items where left out. We managed to squeeze over to a spot that was literally a 90 degree turn from the pick up window, then your supposed to park parallel to the building. THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE WITHOUT ECECUTING A 34 POINT TURN.
Second, when the employee brought the food out, they brought the corrected items out, but failed to bring the entire order, as the original large french fries container, was 75% empty. They also did not bring any ketchup, after we requested it multiple times.
Third, so I had to go in to get the order corrected. This involved a confrontation about how the mistakes were my fault, while an employee continued to berate me over their incompetence. And, FYI, there were 3 other customers going thru the exact experience & trying to get their orders corrected, while being confronted on why the mistake was the fault of the employees preparing the orders.
Fourth, the employees focusing on arguing about their mistakes created a self fulfilling prophecy of more mistakes. There is an absolute lack of leadership & accountability at this location. DO NOT EVER VISIT THIS LOCATION! There are several other options in the area, so do your blood pressure a favor & go to one of them.
This was the most pathetic fast food experience I have ever...
Read moreDear McDonald’s Management Team,
I am writing to highlight and sincerely commend an incredible team member at your location on 10095 E Dorchester Road, South Carolina — Carl.
During my recent visit, Carl delivered superb customer service that went above and beyond expectations. What stood out most was his composure, efficiency, and professionalism while handling an unusually high workload. Carl was working the entire front counter alone, managing in-store orders while simultaneously completing drive-thru orders — and he did it all with a positive attitude and genuine care for each customer.
Even under pressure, Carl remained polite, quick, and attentive. You could tell he truly cared about providing a great experience. In a time when quality customer service can be rare, Carl deserves to be recognized and rewarded for his dedication and work ethic.
Please let this review serve as a strong recommendation that Carl be acknowledged in a meaningful way — ideally with a raise or formal recognition. Employees like him make a lasting impression and keep people coming back.
Thank you for taking the time to hear this praise. I hope Carl is appreciated as much internally as he is by the...
