Ordered from King Ramen on ubereats and apparently they operate out of Sushi 201. The sister branch for King ramen was also at the exact same address as the Sushi 201 sister address. I don’t know if that is legit or they are trying to do some rebranding which is suspicious.

I ordered the tonkotsu and paitan ramen. I wondered if i should have left instructions to separate the noodles from the soup but i felt that the business would automatically do it since it is for take out. Apparently nobody has the common sense for it. Both portions arrived in a quart and noodles were extremely soggy and falling apart since i only received it 30 mins later. the toppings came separately, go figure. for $3, i received 5 one inch cubes of beef, they were tender. for another $3, i also received 2 slices on chashu, the pork belly. the meat was dry but the fat was soft. for $2, they gave me 4 extremely thin slices of the japanese fishcake, the white one with a pink spiral within, not worth the money at all. Will not be ordering from them again. I also paid $3 for the shrimp tempura which thankfully someone had an ounce of common sense to pack separately. The shrimps are tiny, but encased in a huge fried shell. The paitan ramen is supposed to be a chicken broth similar to tonkotsu except that tonkotsu is a pork broth. i had one sip and could immediately tell it was full of MSG... One of my friends in the restaurant business has the same supplier who actually sells the soup flavoring packets. So that means King Ramen aka Sushi 201 doesn’t make their own broth for ramen but instead uses...

I have been eating at Sushi 201 for a year or so, and it is by far the best sushi in Summerville. I liked getting the sushi meal which came with a salad or a bowl of miso soup and I would order a soda to have with it. I normally paid around $32 including tip, out the door. A great meal at a so so price, a little high but not bad because its Sushi, the price you pay for great sushi, the way it goes... Last week I ordered the exact same meal, drink and with tip I was out the door at $46. I won't be seeing Sushi 201 any longer. Though the Sushi is very good, the place needs a face lift inside, worn out seats and the decor needs a major facelift, which I never cared about until I have to spend $46 for a quick solo meal at a high classy restaraunt price. I might also mention, I have never seen more than two or three tables taken while dinning there. Makes me think, is it the price of the meals or the old worn out look inside, it has a great location.... Either way, like I said, the sushi is great, the prices are ridiculous, and the atmosphere is shoty.... food 5 stars, atmosphere 1 star, prices 1 star (for what it is) total 2 stars. Won't be long now with the price increase it'll be gone, give it 3 to 6 months, history. Not for Summerville,...

Sushi 201 was always one of our favorite places. We've written numerous 5-star reviews for them in the past. The food used to be wonderful. We wish we could say it still was. After today's experience, I doubt we will go back. We were disappointed that we could only do take out...still. But that we could deal with. We placed our order, then went to pick it up. First we were shorted an item and when approached about it, they argued we were wrong about what we ordered. The young lady made a point of telling me she gave me extra eel sauce. There was NO eel sauce. It is thick, but what she gave me was thin and salty like soy sauce. Compound that with the portions being half what they used to be. When you pay $10 for a spicy sashimi salad and the portion doesn't even fill a Pyrex baking cup, that's just shameful! Then finally, the specialty rolls we ordered were wrong as well. I order the same rolls each time (creature of habit). I don't order rolls with cream cheese. I don't know what has happened...whether they have changed ownership or COVID has made them make poor choices that has diminished their quality. Whatever the case, I'm afraid at this level, they will be closing their doors soon. And they should if this is the best they are...

This little gem of a place is located between the Wine & Tapas Bar and The Ice House. It's small yet quaint with a very welcoming home-like appeal. If you love sushi and saki, this is the place to go! They are reasonable in price and the serving staff are super friendly the moment you walk in. The prices are reasonable and both food and drink are amazing. I tried the "Te Amo" sushi roll that is on the Fiesta Menu and it is hands down one of the best rolls I have tasted. While waiting, my server (the creator of the Te Amo Roll by the way) brought out my warm blue raspberry saki that was absolutely amazing! They offer a variety of cold, warm filtered and unfiltered saki. They also have a Happy Hour from 4-7 as well! This food vlogger will definitely be celebrating her birthday in a few weeks there! Their menu offers a variety of other food besides sushi as well so why not come on out and give them a try. I promise you will enjoy every bite!
