Wow, Kiara I thought this only happened to me, because I assumed that my culture doesn't shop in their store quite often, well the same thing happened to me every time I would go in there to purchase their soaps. I would constantly be asked by several of their staff " can I take your things"? I would tell them no I have it, within minutes another staff member will approach me and ask the same thing" . It's harassment not customer service.Trust, if I go into any store and take anything out of a store ... It's paid for. It saddened my heart that Black people are still being shunned. To the owner of the store, I have spoken to you about this treatment face to face and by phone. Shame on you. That you continued to treat people this way.I pray that God will take your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. Don't be a coward if you really feel uncomfortable about Black people coming in your store this will definitely solve the problem.Just put a sign on your door - No Blacks allowed or you can build a good customer...

We've been shopping at this adorable boutique since we moved here from CT about a year ago. Until yesterday. Our brother came down to visit and we recommended he go check it out for gift ideas. While in the store, he took some pictures to send to us for our opinion. In addition, he also asked what time they closed so he could come back instead of carrying around his intended purchases as we were out having dinner. He bought some soap and then met us across the street for a beverage. About 10 minutes later, Summerville's finest show up and ask to speak with him outside. Apparently Everything Chic called the police and reported him as a suspicious person. So he had to produce ID and answer questions from the police. I can't imagine how difficult it is to be a small business right now, we try our hardest to shop local and support small businesses. But we will never...
