We thought we would try out a new spot and are sadly disappointed. The online ordering is pretty confusing so I called and asked because I wanted to make sure what I was ordering was correct. The person on the phone was super friendly so I thought it was going to be a great experience but it was far from. I asked if when ordering online if you have to select each item on the burger and he told me “no, it is assumed you want everything on it and you only select it if you don’t want it or want it on the side”. Well as you can see in the picture that is not true. I basically paid $50 for 2 sandwiches with absolutely nothing on them but overcooked patties. I also ordered a pretzel with beer cheese which was not even edible because it had so much salt on it even after trying to dump the salt off it was still like it was soaked in Folly Beach water. Not sure what was in the cup that came with it but we have had beer cheese countless times and it’s never looked like that. Whatever it was there wasn’t even enough of it to dip but maybe one bite of pretzel in it. The impossible burger tasted more like a frozen bean burrito than a burger. Gave it a shot but won’t be back.

Had to stop at this space-adventure themed brewery in Summerville! A satellite brewery from their main gig in Charleston, this location in Summerville does not disappoint! Brennen, the bartender and manager today, was fun and relatable. He poured a flight (flights available in 4, 6, 8, 10, or 13 pours) of 6 IPAs plus 2 seasonal pours... and recommended the Smash Burger and Buffalo Chicken Sandwich... and the Cosmic Fries -- and everything was super delicious! The side of cucumber salad was sweet and yummy --- the chicken was tender and juicy --- the smash burger was incredible. I loved the Marshmallow Milkshake IPA was soooo good, followed by the Sip Sip IPA -- and the hubs liked the Dual (Double) IPA the best! Pinball machines along the side wall, Star Wars helmets on the opposite wall, and a vibe you don't want to miss (and food you'll come back for again and again)!

Definitely out of this world. Happened in on their 2nd anniversary! I have allergies and was hesitant with a limited menu. Our server, Vicky was top-notch. She checked with the kitchen before placing our order and they were able to accommodate. Coffee rubbed bacon, on top was different, but the burger was out of this world good! Tater tots with chili, both very good. If you are looking for a place with different brews on tap, varied menu and great waitstaff check it out!

This place is the biggest let down in our charming little downtown. I’m not sure why we keep giving it just one more chance, but I guarantee their Christmas parade seat rip off will be the last of my dollars spent at any frothy affiliated place. It’s sad because when we first moved here, Frothy (at their original Ashley phosphate location) was our favorite brewery to go to! The original owners were always so great with the customers. Also, when off the world opened a group of us would go for music bingo every week but the food just kept getting worse just like the customer service so we quit going after several weeks of bad experiences. If you’re going to have a prime spot in a small southern downtown area, the least you could do is have that southern hospitality. Every time I walk into off the world I immediately feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. They are never staffed appropriately so the wait for anything is extremely long. No other business in the downtown has the staffing issue excuse that they have every time you go in there. The food is just a notch above frozen food popped in the air fryer. The Summerville Christmas parade tickets that they charged I believe $20 was the biggest waste of money I have ever spent. I basically paid for a beer that I don’t like (their beer selection is very limited), 2 trips to the bathroom and a hard wooden chair to sit on that was crammed next to the other paying guest like sardines. I really felt embarrassed to be seen sitting in those chairs with people knowing I paid just to be there. You would think if you bought a chair that you would get VIP treatment, nope quite the opposite. It almost felt like they were annoyed that we were there for the Christmas parade. We were one of the first guest to arrive and was told it sold out online in 15 minutes. Ok, then why aren’t you staffed appropriately? Then we place an order right away for food, asked if it would be brought out to us and was told that they couldn’t guarantee it. Therefore we kept going in to check visually to see if it was out, then after 30 minutes and everyone around us getting their food that arrived much later we asked about our order that was for 1 appetizer, was basically told to stop asking and it would be out when it go out. After 1 hour and 10 minutes of waiting I asked for a refund, I was given the refund but still not offered anything for my inconvenience was just told someone else outside must have claimed our food. Needless to say I paid for tickets to spend time at frothy beard but I walked across the street and spent all my money at the axe joint! They never let me down and are always fast and friendly even when the line for a beer is out the door. There were plenty of delicious food trucks to eat at as well so there was no need to spend any more of my hard earned money at frothy. I really wish they would move on and let a new business open up that would represent what downtown Summerville is supposed to be. Its been well over 2 years and they haven’t improved, in my opinion they get worse with each visit. Please people save your money and NEVER buy seats to an event that they are offering. You will feel like you were cheated out of your money. Just trying to save the...

The bartender named SETH is incompetent. I will explain. BTW, I love Frothy Beard and have been a loyal customer for years.

My wife and I visited this location 3 days ago. We had a good experience and good beer and food.

Today, I suggested to a friend that we should go back. I ordered a pitcher of Walhallaweisse, which is $18 but, unfortunately, it was tapped. I requested another light beer that we could get a pitcher of. He suggested Tides of Gallaway. He charged me over $30 for the pitcher. I was not happy but I paid for it because he had already poured it and we sat down to drink our beer.

After pouring, I realized the pitcher was less than 4 beers, and at $8 per beer, he had charged me more for a a pitcher than the equivalent of purchasing 4 beers at the actual menu cost of $7.50, let alone $8 per beer, and a tip of $5. When I brought this up he became defensive and told me there is nothing he could do about it. A cop out at best.

The fact that he could not understand how he completely screwed us over, even looking at the simple math of the situation, is a clear sign of ineptitude, and his inability to correct the situation is a clear sign of his ignorance and total lack of customer service.

I like this location but this man, Seth, needs to be removed. This job, a bartender, and simple math, is too difficult for him. If you are employing people like this, this location will fail.

Do better by your...

We have been coming to Frothy Beard since it opened in North Charleston. We have always supported this amazing brewery and will continue. We were at the Summerville location for Music Bingo (our favorite) and having a great time. I walked across the street and bought three macaroons for my wife as they are her favorite. I eanted to surorise her as she had a partivukarly hard day at work (while we waited for bingo to start). As soon as my wife took one out of the bag...Kevin (an employee) rudely told my wife to put them away and they had a strict no food policy. My wife complied but was offended by his tone and attitude toward the situation. Keep in mind this was three single small macaroons which Frothy does not sell and we already ordered our first two of four beers for the night along with two sodas for our kids. I would understand if we brought in our own main dishes such as pizza or burgers, but three macaroons????

We will be back, however Kevin could have done a much better job in addressing this type of issue.

A huge shout out to one of the best servers in the business...Seth! He always comes through with a quick joke, great smile and...
