Tasty Bowl — Restaurant in Summit Township

Not sure how we never noticed this little restaurant before - we stay at a nearby hotel with frequently! The food here was great - they have an extensive menu featuring Szechuan Chinese as well as sushi, but also including other categories I'd never encountered before, such as the "Dry Hot Pots" and Asian "casseroles". They also have other Asian cuisines such as Japanese, Thai, and Singaporean dishes. I had the Cauliflower Dry Hot Pot, which was excellent - spicy but not to the point of detracting from the flavor, which was vaguely like Thai sweet chili. My wife had the Japanese Shrimp and Veggies tempura Udon Noodle Soup, which she said was very good (this is a dish she has ordered frequently when traveling in Japan). We shared the Edamame and the Chow Mei Fun appetizers, which were also excellent, especially the CMF.

My only reason for not giving them 5 stars was the wait for our order - we arrived at ~5:30 during a snowstorm, and only a few other tables were busy, but it took a long time before our entrees were served. I'd rate it a long wait for almost any casual restaurant, and exceptionally long for a Chinese restaurant. Maybe it was a fluke though... The staff was very friendly and helpful, other than the wait! They do offer takeout ordering, so that's always one way to bypass the wait 🙂

One word of advice: they don't have a liquor license, so you can't get beer or wine with your meal. However, they do allow BYOB, which is actually a much better deal, as long as you're aware of this ahead of time! (We didn't even know they didn't serve alcohol, much less that...

By far the best place in Erie! Most of the Chinese cuisine around here is americanized Chinese food, Not Authentic! This place is Authentic, fresh and absolutely delicious! Today was my first time here and honestly I will be a regular customer going forward and bring all my friends and family here! I can't believe I didn't know about this place sooner, I was passing by and thought to go online and check it out. After seeing the amazing reviews I came in today on my day off for lunch. The staff was top notch friendly and the atmosphere was warm and outgoing. My stepmother is from China when she's in town she cooks for my entire family this restaurant reminds me so much of her cooking. I urge you to give this restaurant a try you will not be disappointed if you love Asian food this will be the first place you try around here that is real...

When my brother and i first entered, there was no waiting. I thought to myself, we are in luck. I realize now that it wasn't luck. The dish was simple (General Tsao's chicken and white rice) yet cost me $10.99. No other sides, no eggrolls, nothing. And THEN I ordered a glass of sweet tea, which was tasty. They brought that right away while we waited for our dinners. My tea mostly done by the time they bring my meal so I ask for a refill. "We don't give refills here. You'll have to buy another." WHAT?!? I ALREADY am spending almost $30 for a simple freaking meal and I have to shell out extra cos I'm thirsty?? Rationing the liquids comes to mind now. Yep, last time I come to this place.
