I have only been here for 2 hours and 1 star is generous because you cant leave less than 1. Hotel lobby and hallways on each floor are extremely hot and uncomfortable. Justin at the front desk was nice for check in until you have issues. I paid for 2 rooms; 1 king suite with pull out sofa bed and a 2 double bed room. The pull out bed has no linens or pillows and when we asked for some we were told we don't have any. My next question was well when will you have more because I'll be here all weekend. He instantly acted like I was annoying him and with an attitude he blurted out ''I don't have anymore'' and never addressed my question. My family stayed in the room with 2 double beds. They also did not have enough pillows for the 4 people staying in that room. They also have a lamp with a burnt out light bulb and you cannot turn the AC on without it making a horribly loud thumping noise. When I addressed these concerns as well, I was told there is no maintenance guy on site and he will only be here for a short time on Saturday (tomorrow). I followed that up by asking when a manager would be available because I am paying for services I am not receiving. God forbid should there be a major issue, I am being told there is nothing they can do. Their ''ultra high speed internet'' runs 2 mb download. Seems more like false advertising to me. If I didn't have to prepay I would have left already and I just got here. Horrible service, rude staff, and missing amenities. I sure hope to get a reply because Justin also said he has no contact information for the manager or the GM and customer service is closed until Monday. I will never return to an LQ and feel i should be compensated for this horrendous experience. I have other family staying at the super 8 across the street. Save some money and stay there, they are much happier.
PS: As I was finishing up this review, my mother just walked in and said the fitness center the machines are not functional and the room smells like urine and is unbearable. This could be from pets not being cleaned up after. Also the 3rd Floor Ice machine doesn't work at all. Nothing comes out and you have to go to the 2nd floor to get ice. This is uncalled for unacceptable. I am debating filing a complaint with the BBB and consumer protection! Please find my review on TripAdvisor as well and share with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery awful experience. I even called the corporate number to complain. Memorial Day weekend, they were turning drop- in people down. Completely booked Saturday night. I had checked into our 2nd floor room on Thursday evening and was treated very WELL by William on the desk. I gave him an alternate card from the one I gave AAA for my reservation. The room was fine. Housekeeping was fine. Friday breakfast was fine. By Saturday the elevator was out of order. It wasn't fixed by the time I left on Monday morning. No one offered to put luggage on service elevator. (I was in the lobby for hours, and never heard any apologies nor willingness to assist with luggage.) Many guests in this three story had dogs who were forced to navigate the stairs many times a day. That wasn't the worst. Sunday morning "free" breakfast was almost non existent. The initial food had been set out, but with a full house and no one attending to replenishing it, before long all the food was gone. Plastic spoons and forks gone. Juice, fruit, hot cereal, two of four cold cereals gone. Regular coffee gone. I reported it to the desk after all was gone, but the girl sitting said she was the housekeeping person and the desk person wasn't there. So I called the LaQuinta reservation number to report the situation. The seemingly empathetic employee took the report, but that did not resolve the problems- still no food and no assist with elevator outage issues. When I checked out Monday morning I carried several loads down two flights of stairs. My daughter and her family including a two year old toddler used the stairs up and down to-from the third floor room. At check in, as previously mentioned, i had presented a different credit card than the one I had given AAA when I made my reservation, and was assured it would be used. But when I got an overdraft funds transfer notification from my bank, I realized they charged the incorrect card. Monday the breakfast was back to normal, but that was the only thing. Very unpleasant experience. Poor staffing with inadequate back up plan. And no staff person really seemed to care. More of a "sorry about your luck" attitude from the gal who checked me out (but didn't give me a receipt.). The call to corporate didn't make...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have stayed in many hotels, but this was by far the filthiest room I have ever encountered. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that basic cleanliness is not a priority at this location.
The room was covered in dust, the sheets were not only stained but torn, and the carpet looked like it hadnāt been cleaned in ages. The bathroom was particularly disturbingāthe shower was full of mold and mildew, which poses serious health risks, especially to anyone with allergies or respiratory issues. To make matters worse, I later learned that other guests had also reported seeing roaches in their rooms, which is both alarming and completely unacceptable. The presence of roaches is not only a sign of unsanitary conditions but can also trigger further health concerns.
Health Hazards and Violations of Erie, PA Codes:
Mold/Mildew in Shower: The mold and mildew in the shower are clear violations of Erie, PA health codes. Mold can cause serious respiratory problems, particularly for people with asthma or allergies. Erieās health regulations require that all hotel bathrooms be properly cleaned and maintained to prevent these hazards.
Unclean Sheets and Carpet: Stained, torn sheets and a filthy carpet suggest neglect of basic housekeeping standards. Erieās health codes mandate that bedding and linens must be changed between guests, and that carpets and other surfaces should be clean and free of dust or debris. The conditions of the room I stayed in indicate a longer-term lack of care and maintenance.
Roach Infestation: The fact that multiple guests have encountered roaches is a serious violation of health codes. The presence of roaches poses severe hygiene risks, as these pests can carry bacteria that spread diseases. Erieās health codes require that hotels maintain pest-free environments, and the presence of roaches is a clear indication that this hotel is failing to meet that standard. Especially, if this place serves food.
The lack of cleanliness and failure to address pest issues are clear violations of health and...
