If you ever wanted the feeling of sleeping in a crack den in Cleveland Ohio, and have an extra hundred bucks to blow. Oh boy do I have a place for you. The Econolodge off Perry highway exudes the class youād expect from a guy who found his couch under a overpass. In fact, the couch in my room probably was found under an overpass. You should never say āif the couch could tell storiesā directed at a hotel couch. It also reminded of living at home and using the basement toilet. You know the toilet you have to reach into the tank to flush cause dad isnāt spending $12 to buy a new tank kit for the basement toilet? So after I walk out of the bathroom with a wet hand I go over to the very dirty air conditioner to kick it on to help clear out some of the overwhelming cigarette smell. The smell reminiscent of my 20s where I played bass in a band in seedy smoke filled bars. In fact, I felt in the 8 or so hours I stayed in this hotel, I smoked the equivalent of 2 cartons of Marboro red 100s.
I did see a cleaning cart in the hallway while I was checking out, but I assume itās purely decorative.
The 8 slices of bread laid out for the continental breakfast looked delightfully appetizing, but I chose a cupful of very watered down apple juice.
The employees were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the guy who came to fix my TV. Especially because I had to walk down to the lobby to ask to have my TV fixed because the room phone (which was labeled with a different hotel chain) was completely disconnected from itself and the wall.
Overall, I felt my money was very well spent, purely for the story...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy Sister and l have stayed at this Motel for at least 10 years and we stay there in May and September every year. We have noticed since the Name change over we did not receive a friendly welcome when we checked in on Fri September 12, 2025. We asked to be close to one in other, as we are two single woman wanting to stay close. When we received our room keys, he put us so far away from each other. When my sister entered her room, it was occupied, very embarrassing. We went back downstairs to change rooms and he suggested to go next door to the Quality Inn. We said no, we booked our room here. At this point, he gave us another room which was located across from each other, which was better, then to come to realize that my sisters fridge do not work, she had to put her items in my room. Very disappointed at the service at the front desk, not friendly at all.In the past we have always had friendly service but this time we didnāt, your cleaners were more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was the worst hotel experience we have ever had. We don't mind older hotels if they are CLEAN and kept up, this was anything but that. There was mold/mildew in the bathroom, the ceiling in the bathroom looked like it was ready to cave in, windows and mirrors were dirty as were other surfaces, the one thin blanket on the bed had a cigarette burn hole in it, the dust on the bedside lamp was thick, the box for the tissues was laying open (presumably broken?), shower curtain rod was bent and looked like it was ready to fall down. The chair in the room was threadbare, worse than anything I've seen in a resale shop. Everything just felt grimy everywhere. We left as early as we could the next morning. I don't need fancy, just clean....I would NOT recommend...
