I've been to here a few times. Everything is perfect. This place is so fun I have to tell my pastor everytime I come here and he always asks if I can take him next time. I told my kids they should just come here instead of college. The people were awesome and the service was perfect, the server even asked for my autograph when I paid my bill probably just because I ate there. I tried to do a little research on this place at the library and the Dewey decimal system just referred me to "awesome". I mentioned this place once in an interview and got the job. My parents are finally proud of me. One of the times I went there was to watch a football game ,and it was so fun, both teams won. I have my ringtone set to Purdy's. I tried delivering food once for Uber eats and the people kept telling me they don't want if it's not from Purdy's. I love road trips but only if they end up here. I wish it was this place that took my virginity. I named my dog Purdy. I bought a tee shirt and threw out the rest of my clothes. Google only had 4 stars before this place was opened. I just had my house appraised and they asked me how close it was to Purdy's. The Grand Canyon asked me if I've ever been to Purdy's. My girlfriend doesn't even wonder where I've been anymore. George Washington wishes his name was George Purdy. Elvis wishes he had seen this place. Geico came here once and had to apologize for it's commercials not being good enough. Chuck Norris cried when he realized he's never been here. My boss asks me why I don't spend more time here. If you haven't been here, pull over and punch yourself on your way here. Would...
Read moreI want to love this place — their food is good, their arcade selection is some of the best I’ve seen and they only charge 25-50¢ a play and their machines use real quarters. However, their service and business practices can be unprofessional. We came in on St. Patrick’s Day right after work at 1:30pm, ordered $40 or more worth of food and drinks not to mention money going in the arcade machines, and about an hour and change later around 2:45pm as we were enjoying ourselves we were approached by an employee and asked if we had bracelets, we said no and then was told very bluntly by the employee if we don’t have them by 3pm, “the bouncer was going to kick us out”. That is not how you treat your paying customers. We then found out that Purdy’s was making everyone pay a $10 cover fee after 3pm even for those who had come in before for a “raffle”. What that says to me is that this Irish themed bar wants to nickel and dime every penny they can out of people because of the Irish themed holiday, to get the most money out of everyone, which in my opinion is a pretty scummy business practice. What if we didn’t want to participate in the raffle? There should be an option for people not to, especially when we were there 2 hours before and had already given them more than enough money to offset the $10 cover you’re charging just because. Learn how to treat your customers better and maybe rethink your St. Patrick’s Day...
Read moreTraveling here from out of state this place was highly recommended by a friend who lives here. We were very disappointed in agreeing to come. The parking lot isn't that great but we managed to find a spot. Then entered and the restaurant is quite a maze to figure out as a first timer with "Please Seat Yourselves" signs in all the entrances to the different rooms. After waiting for a table to open (still dirty but it was our only option) we were greeted quickly and kindly, finally - something good. We ordered our food, an appetizer of poutine and then our entrees. Nothing fancy, just a shrimp po'boy and a rueben sandwich with a bowl of clam chowder. Our appetizer took FOREVER to come out - so long I wondered if we were forgotten about. But then our food came out fairly quickly afterwards. Being so close to a maritime town as Seattle one would expect at least fresh shrimp - nope. The soup was cold, the shrimp was frozen breaded shrimp served in a hot dog bun. My husband said the rueben wasn't anything special either. Our service was great considering the one server had an entire dining room to handle (if not more.) She was super nice and attentive. Unfortunately that's the only positive to this experience. Definitely not on the return list. Not sure why the locals rave...
