Ward's Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Sumter

Not good. We actually went to the one on Alice Drive and Wise St. We went at dinner time and planned to eat-in. But, we didn't realize that once they sell out of meat, they close for the day. They had already sold out of ribs, so all we could get was chicken and chopped pork (neither of which were particularly palatable). The slaw I recall as being decent. The potato salad that came with the dinner had some spice, like cloves or nutmeg, in it that was not a pleasure to eat. The sauce was too sweet and oddly reddish pink. So, we won't be going back there...

Love the food but the staff is unprofessional. There was a disagreement about a lunch order and two of the staff carried on the whole time I was waiting for my food. I even had to wait a few minutes before anyone took my order. If I didn't life 5 hours away and could get hash and rice elsewhere, I would...

First they act like they didn't see me than she looked over me to service someone who came in after me . Finally ,instead of taking my order she took off her gloves and told me she will be right back.So I kindly leave.They had no customer service...
