We came in on a Thursday evening, our first night out without the kids since moving to Sun Prairie. There were two tables on the deck with people sitting at tables; otherwise the place was not busy.
We walked in, and waited for 15 minutes while the hostess chatted with some friends at the register. Then she said she'd be right back. 5 more minutes went by and she asked, finally, if we wanted a table. We asked for a table outside. She walked us out to a table, there were many to choose from, and decided on seating us at a table with food and crud all over the table. She apologized for the mess, and said she'd be right back to wipe it off and get us some chips.
20 minutes later, no hostess, no cleaned table, no chips, and 8 tables had been seated, received drinks, chips, and menus. We attempted to flag down one of the wait-staff. Clearly they took the "wait" part seriously. The one we finally flagged down said she'd grab our wait person. A bus-boy came out with chips and salsa, no drinks, no water, and our table was still filthy. This was the last we saw of him as well.
We waited another 15 minutes as other tables that arrived after us were being served food. We still had yet to meet our actual waiter or waitress and our table was still an absolute filthy mess.
So in total, we wasted an hour of our lives to sit at a disgusting table and be ignored for nearly a half hour, then have mediocre chips and salsa set in the middle of the filth. We got this great treatment while watching at least 10 other tables served and treated like actual customers.
I would like to be able to comment on the food, but we never got any, we got up and left. We let the hostess know we our table was still filthy, and that no one came in 45 minutes to serve us. She seemed to not care.
What a miserable excuse for a restaurant! We ended up driving to another restaurant, and got seated, served and drove home in less time than we spent sitting waiting to place our drink order. We got the message that our business doesn't matter to this place.
So here is our message: We won't be back. We will tell as many as will listen what a miserable excuse for a restaurant you run. No one deserves this treatment as a paying customer. Pure classless...
Read moreOur meal started with the chips, salsa, and ranch dressing. Neither the chips and salsa were remarkable. The chips almost seemed to be cooked a little too long. We attributed the ranch to a local staple but it came in handy later. We ordered cheese dip but it wasn't thick enough to overpower the chips so we only ate half of it. The do have a "Vegetarian combinations" section on the menu with a handful of options. They also have an ala cart section with several vegetarian selections such as 1 or 2 bean burritos, cheese enchiladas and quesadillas. I wish I would have ordered from the ala cart section. However, I'm trying to eat a healthier so I opted for a vegetarian burrito. It had carrots, green peppers potatoes, onions. tomatoes and zucchini in a flour tortilla topped with cheese sauce. It came with a rice and salad for 12.99. My husband got the same thing and also a cheese enchilada from the ala cart menu. Unfortunately the veggies were way undercooked and it just wasn't impressive. On the top of the menu it says all combinations come with beans and rice. My husband asked our server about it and he said no, it comes with rice and salad. I brought my veggies home to cook and left the tortilla behind. The ranch dressing we got with the chips came in handy for the salad. The rice was ok. The cheese enchilada was the best thing but my husband thought it was salty. I didn't think it was though. We also ordered a horchata and that was delicious. If I were ever to come back, I would try something else.
The server was nice. The...
Read moreNot bad. Definitely room to improve. We ordered via their website due to the covid. Easy of was good but initially stated a 2.5 hour wait. We called and wait was only 35 minutes. Ease of website was great. We had three people order on the same order. Each had big portions. One burrito,, one sea food chimichanga and one steak chimichanga grande. None of the meals had the same sides (ie rice, beans, etc). For three orders only one chip and salsa (most have one chip and salsa for each meal or order as a side option). The seafood had no rice or beans, the grande had a rice as a side and the burrito had rice as side and re-fried beans were in the burrito. Chimichangas were soggy but good. The steak was pretty dry and tough to chew. Not horrible but would definitely think about ordering a different meal next time. The burrito was also soggy but was enjoyable until hitting the re-fried beans. Overall good. Sea food chimichanga was not at all crispy but good. Nothing was labeled and took some digging in each others food to figure out who had what. No napkins or forks.
Suggest offering a bag of chips and salsa with each meal. Frying chimichangas longer and offer ground beef, steak and chicken as options for all meals. Definitely send forks with meals especially since it is all delivery now and knowing a lot of patrons will be eating at work or away from home without convenience like this. Most importantly label the items in the delivery bags.
Overall not bad. Does not stand out though and wouldn't go out of my way...
