Got takeout here since we've tried most of the other local pizza joints and wanted to see if we were missing anything (TLDR, we weren't). Their pizza can be pretty expensive, but they charge by the topping, so if you want more pizza for your dollar be strategic about which specialty pies you order. They also have coupons and daily specials that can help depending on what you want.
Reasonable quality pizza. If you like your cheese a bit chewy, this is a good place for you. We ordered a plain cheese pizza and a Monster pizza. Can't say I recommend the latter; too much bacon made it a salt buffet, and they don't seem to have baked it any longer to account for the extra toppings, so the middle was soggy and under-done. Not knocking them too hard for this since it's a common problem at other establishments.
The tiramisu isn't anything to write home about, but it's fine if you have a craving. The side order of boneless wings we got was disappointing. Their 'hot' buffalo sauce is pretty medium, and there was hardly any on the wings. The ranch cup that came with it was the warm, pre-packaged nasty stuff.
Ultimately Rosati's is just okay, mid-quality pizza. It's not bad by any means, and if you particularly like chicago style or their cheese blend it might be worth it for you. Personally, I can get similar food cheaper from the other pizza chain in downtown SP, and better pizza for similar prices from two or three other places nearby, so I don't think...
Read moreOnce loved this place, newer to Sun Prairie. 4 times I ordered from this location with minor issues. Today, it was Alfredo with chicken and sautéed mushrooms on the side because 1 of us is vegetarian. Comes with raw (not sautéed) mushrooms with chicken on the side and chicken in the dish. Called, and they didn't offer to replace. Just a refund. Didn't even offer to recook. I asked and said I just wanted our food. 2nd time (the redo), the chicken was breaded for some reason and couldn't find the mushrooms. We gave up, and then I saw them. They had the chicken on top of the mushrooms. I stated on the redo that it was for a vegetarian. Obviously, cared less and had to throw both in the trash. Loss of money and eating 2 and a half hours later from their competitor up the street. McDonald's had better effort and I expect...
Read moreTry it Sun Prairie! Growing up in Illinois, I was very excited to hear Rosati’s was coming to Sun Prairie. Over the past year, we’ve tried Falbos, Glass Nickel, Pizza Pit, etc., and the only place that stands out is Salvatores, which makes a great pizza, but it’s not cheap at $25 a pie. Tonight we ordered a thin crust and Chicago deep-dish pizza, and both were delicious. Rosati’s was generous with the toppings, and their sauce is top-notch. It was also refreshing that the order was ready in 30-minutes, as stated in the confirmation email. Day One, the previous pizza shop, was always an extra 10-20 minute wait, but given that Rosati’s has added two massive 70 inch TVs and draft beer, I don’t think I would mind the wait now. Keep up the good work, and we look forward to...
