The food was excellent - especially the chicken biriyani, a decision that was made as we passed somebody’s table. The aroma that wafted up to us was awesome. We didn’t regret that decision at all! The malai and lahsooni kababs were good but not spicy enough for me. They did offer the choice to make it so though. The decision to go to Charminar was because we went to their branch in San Diego, which was excellent. It is very popular. I have a lot of expectations from this one too! The Service was the icing on the cake. We were lucky to have Ismail who was very friendly and courteous. He guided us when asked, about the portion size and items in the menu. He stayed back to answer our questions and also to enquire if we were satisfied. He informed us of what is to come. What surprised me, and I appreciated was that as we were packing the left over family pack biriyani in 2 containers (2 fams), he packed extra flavored rice so we could have enough!!! Who does that!!! Food is uncooked & very bad on the opening day. Ordered butter naan, panner butter masala, dhaba chicken curry, and haleem. First of all, if you order the food, you have to wait for atleast 30min for it to arrive. Paneer butter masala was too sweet & dhaba chicken was uncooked. Ordered mutton dum biryani & chicken fry biryani later! I had to wait for another 35 minutes and this time, I haven't received my biryani. I recently visited this place after coming from New Zealand, and I was genuinely impressed. Authentic biryani is very hard to find overseas, but this place truly delivers. The biryani was flavorful, aromatic, and perfectly cooked — just how it should be.

The staff were warm and attentive, and the ambience was comfortable and welcoming. They even served complimentary samosa and lassi, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience even better.
