Where should I start?
First time checking in with the manager Noah was a blast! Noah is very nice and attentive to detail with warm welcome and great initial impression. I arrived the hotel early around 10am, most hotels would simply ask you to leave and come back after 3pm. However, Noah is so nice and let me check in right away without any issue. He prepared me a clean and nice room which I stayed for almost a year. The day of my first check in the credit card was not working as expected, Noah is so nice and let me stay and rest first before sorting out the credit card issue. From that moment, I told myself I would stay here as long as possible.
The room is newly renovated, and the breakfast lady Alicia is so nice, she is like your mom or grandmother, very warm and always greeting at me. The buffet is packed with freshly cooked food, milk, and juices. The breakfast room is clean with daily news TV playing during morning hours. The coffee is free 24/7 with option of Swiss milk powder. Alicia she is an angle and an asset to this hotel, I love seeing her in the morning and chat with her.
ELVIN! He is the best front desk agent I have ever seen. He greets you like family and knows you by the name. He helps everyone even some very picky and annoying guests with smile and best services. And there is Hi May! He is very kind too and knows every guest by their names and always greeting! I have never had any issue checking in every week. The paperwork is there printed already and took seconds to get my new room key.
Then there is Valerk, another manager who left the hotel. He is very kind too, I brought cake on the day he left and shared with the rest of the hotel crews.
The parking is easy to find, and it is right on the main el camion real. It is the safest city and area in California. I highly recommend you to stay here and try it yourself. I can tell you this, the hotel has such a high rating because of their willingness to go extra step and make everyone...
Read moreI stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Sunnyvale-Silicon Valley for 3 nights (Thurs-Sat) in Aug 2024. In my opinion the 2 BEST amenities here are FREE PARKING and Front Desk employee Jacob!!! Jacob was a wonderful employee to be greeted by late at night after a long day of traveling by plane - he made check-in a breeze, answered all of my questions thoroughly and pleasantly, and even took time to help me understand the layout of the facility. Room 301 was overall clean, although there was an old stain on the underside of the comforter. Pillows were plenty and comfortable. Bathroom amenities were fully stocked, except tissue box - there were only a handful of usable tissues left (the remaining 6-10 tissues had a dark wide blue stripe running down the full length of the tissue in the middle), and air conditioning unit kept room at comfortable temperature, though I was occasionally "slightly awakened" during the night when it would turn on. Didn't hear other guests EXCEPT early Sun. morning - couldn't tell if it was coming from room next door or across the hall, but some guy was "singing/speaking" in a very loud voice. Thankfully, I had an early flight so wasn't as disturbed as I might have been. Breakfast food was good and had plenty of options/variety, though one of the toaster levers wasn't working. There is daily room service offered at no extra charge, but I did not use so can't comment on performance/problems. Check-out went smoothly as well - your bill is pre-printed at front desk and all you have to do is provide your last name. I didn't see/ask for the lady's name but she was very pleasant and wished me safe travels. Overall surrounding area is clean and I felt safe walking around during my stay. There is a Target and Marshall's nearby along with a Walgreens and Smart and Final discount...
Read moreI had a lovely experience at this Holiday Inn Express. The hotel was clean, quiet, and check in and out was hassle free!
My family chose this particular hotel because we were going to my brother’s wedding at the Winchester Mystery House. So it was the closest Holiday Inn Express with the best reviews and more importantly the breakfast buffet available during the pandemic.
The breakfast buffet was crucial because it would allow us to save a substantial amount of time AND money not having to buy breakfast at a diner/restaurant while we stayed down in the San Jose area for the wedding!
My only qualm with the hotel is the king bed me and my boyfriend shared was not comfortable at all! Like the mattress was fine, but I think the sheets and mattress protector didn’t allow the bed to breath, so no matter how cold we turned the AC in the room, we’d wake up in a pool of our own sweat.
I recommend investing in some bamboo sheets or something more breathable! I’ve never been hot sleeping on a Holiday Inn Express hotel mattress before and this is during the dead of winter in the Bay Area haha and I’m famously cold ALL THE TIME!
That being said, I could overlook the mattress because of the OUTSTANDING customer service I received from Noah at the front desk. I called the hotel upset that I had forgotten my favorite thick thermal socks in the bedsheets. I must’ve kicked them off in my sleep and didn’t see them when I checked out!
Instead of laughing it off, Noah took my concern of my missing socks, and made it his personal mission to find them! And he did! He called me back saying they were able to locate them and mailed them back home to me! Free of charge!
Thank you, Noah! And thank you, Holiday...
