Some context, when I rate things out of 10 I consider a 5 to be good, lower than 5 is lower than average and above 5 is higher than average. We have a lot of great Indian restaurants in the bay, so competition is fierce. I got delivery through GrubHub today (11/15/24). I'll review each item.
Butter Paneer: Really expensive at 16$, and the portion was small. The paneer wasn't the greatest and the flavor overall felt a bit flat. Pretty eh as a main dish. 6/10
Garlic Naan and Ghee Rice: 2 medium sized pieces of naan for 4$, not a good deal, not atrociously priced either, right in the middle. Naan is alright, similar to what you get at many restaurants. The ghee rice was pretty small but not crazy expensive at 4$ as well. Very standard as well, nothing special but cooked well and with good amounts of ghee on it. 6/10 for each.
Masala Fries: For 3$ these are a KILLER deal, even through delivery these were still not super soggy, and the flavor and spice was tuned to perfection. The quantity was great and the flavor was fantastic, genuinely the best part of the meal. Really really good, do yourself a favor and get these if you eat here. Outstanding. 9/10, if I didn't order delivery and had them fresh might be a 10!
My whole meal was, Items: $26.96 Delivery fee: $3.99 (0$ because I have GrubHub+) Service fee: $4.04 ($2.16 with GrubHub+) Driver Benefits Fee: $2.00 Sales tax: $2.46
Total: $33.58

Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt was a special day for our family, and we were excited to explore a new dining option. After some online research, we discovered a restaurant that caught our attention. To our delight, this was the first time that every member of my family truly enjoyed the experience together.
Upon entering, we were greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance, old Rafi songs being played in the background which set a perfect welcoming tone for our meal. The menu is simple but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Each dish was well-prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
The service was another highlight. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making recommendations that perfectly suited our preferences. The restaurant wasnāt overcrowded, allowing us to enjoy our meal in a relaxed environment.
The cleanliness of the tables and plates further added to our positive impression, and the prices were quite reasonable, making it an excellent value for the quality we received.
Even though we visited on a weekday, I have high hopes that the restaurant will maintain its stellar performance during busier weekend service. We left feeling satisfied and eager to return, and we will certainly make plans for another visit...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place was surprisingly nice and great food. It sits quietly on the el Camino Real around a bunch of Indian restaurants and yet has a distinct flavour and quality of food. We walked in for lunch on a windy Saturday afternoon. The place was not crowded at all with ample seating space and its super clean and tidy.
Now moving the service, there is only one person that handles service and hosting at the place and he is surprisingly good at his work, calm, warm and welcoming and yet patient enough to suggest vegetarian dishes highlighting the different flavours in each of them.
Moving on to food. Just a word to begin with wow, the food is actually awesome and stands out from the rest of the Indian restaurants around. The flavour is seriously something I havenāt tasted before especially the jackfruit cutlets, the veg curry oh wow, was made so well and just amazingly flavourful and yet not greasy or high on spice.
The place reminded me of the Indian restaurants in the mid-west, which caters to very taste hungry people those that love relishing the Indian cuisine supported by the choice of music. Over all I totally enjoyed the food the service and the atmosphere.
Will I come...
