We love this place and food. Price, portion and taste is good. The only reason I am giving a 3 star is because of annoying customer service I have been having since the last few days. I order from this place for pickup at least once/ twice a week since mid April and I get have been having trouble with partial order being kept ready for pickup. I had 3 consecutive times partial orders kept ready for pick. The Pita bread went missing - When I ordered 2 pita bread - I did not get any and when I ordered 3 Pitas as part of my order I got only one. When I immediately called the restaurant, the guy who addressed the pickup order whose name is Carlos does not understand what I am saying (I do not know spanish either). He tells me he will call the manager in half english and half spanish, when I know he was the only one in the store when I picked the order, and wastes 15 minutes keeping me hold until I finally hang up. I believe mistakes do happen and I am OK with them- but every single time now - may be not? The reason I order food is because we have a busy schedule - and out of the busy schedule - I need to keep following up on call for the partial order that was with no response. How annoying can it be when you are hungry and you have meeting in the next few minutes and your food order is partial prepared. The only reason I am sparing and was still ordering from this place is because - its 3 minutes walk for me to pick. Sorry, with the incident repeat again and again, you no more are going to see...
Read moreI absolutely loved this place. I love middle eastern food in general, so I have a pretty high bar, and these guys did pretty well. I was working in the coffee shop next door and was feeling hungry, so I came here for lunch without researching much about the place, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I had the rice bowl with chicken Shawarma and falafel. It’s a chipotle concept where you choose all your topics as you go along, and finally you pay for what you got. They have all the standard toppings that you get in the middle eastern place, but what stood for me was the fried cauliflower and eggplant. They were decedent and extremely flavourful, and I haven’t seen them in other places. Also, they’re not stingy with that toppings or sauces. You can ask them to put more if you want, and they will happily do that. Also, everything tastes extremely fresh. The fact made the falafel fresh in front of me. When I went to the counter to pay, I was very pleasantly surprised by the fact that they gave me a lentils soup for free. In fact, they give out lentils soup with all the orders, which is such a nice gesture. The soup itself was pretty tasty. There is plenty of seating indoors, but you can also sit outside and do people watching if you prefer. The quantity of food is quite generous, but the price is pretty high as well. But given the fact that it is Bay area, you kind of expect the prices to be as high as they were. I enjoyed everything and I will definitely...
Read moreOn the eve of Labor Day, my wife, son, and I decided to treat ourselves to a pleasant evening at a restaurant after a long day of work. This was our first visit to this particular restaurant, and we were eager to try something new. We ordered three dishes: chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, and pomegranate chicken, all to-go.
To our surprise, when we paid for our meals, the restaurant staff informed us that we had only 7 minutes to eat inside as they were going to close. This abrupt deadline left us feeling rushed and uncomfortable. As we began to have our food, we quickly noticed that it wasn't adequately heated as they just wanted to pass the food to us, which further dampened our dining experience.
My wife was particularly disappointed with the selection of this restaurant for that night and, understandably frustrated, decided to leave both her food and the restaurant itself. This unexpected turn of events marred what was supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable evening. 75% of our food remained...
