I highly not recommend this place. We went for buffet lunch with family: What was bad: It’s a buffet and you expect the roti to be served quick unlike ordering from the menu. They took more than 25 minutes to serve roti. We got our plate filled with sabji and sitting there doing nothing as they took for ever to serve rotis. Don’t offer buffet if you can’t serve roti in time. Aloo tiki chaat: what they served was only aloo tikis, there wasn’t any chat. Even the aloo tiki was a frozen one that they fried and served. If I’m not wrong it’s a Nanak brand tiki. Also it wasn’t properly fried and you can feel the rawness Panneer curry was a disaster. Panneer was stale. I’m sure it’s a 3-4 day old cooked panneer. It was very hard and stale Staff doesn’t know how to take the feedback from the customer. They were clueless what to say when feedback was given Veg biryani was with lumps of white rice and wasn’t tasting great. That’s an indication that they don’t know how to cook Biryani.
What was good: Ambience is comparatively good which I always complain about other restaurants Rice sweet served for desserts was great
Overall I don’t recommend this place. Think...
Read moreThe food was superb. The tables were not cleaned. The room was full of some kind of flies. The trash can was surrounded by flies in the dining area. The bathrooms were dirty. If you want to change plates, it's your responsibility to throw the trash and place the plates in a dirty plate tray. There were not enough plates to change them and the only available plates were also not cleaned properly. We went for a buffet during weekdays ($14.99 /adults and $8.99/kids). This place has a bar. All the food items were yummy. But the chicken kebab was not hot and it was smelly. Fish Pakora was awesome. The samosa was delicious. Gutti vankaya isn't authentic. Goat curry was so delicious and it was authentic south Indian food. This was the first restaurant ( out of all the restaurants we tried) that had enough goat pieces in the curry. Chana masala was also superb. Naans were served based on requests. The sparkling lemonade was very tasty. From beginning to the end , it was our responsibility to throw the trash, keep the dirty plates away( in many of the Indian restaurants, people come and take away dirty plates from the table). A lot of parking...
Read moreThe review is mainly for their weekend brunch which is a limited thali ( platter) of south indian food. It is a fantastic deal for $9.99 . Included in the the thali is 2 dosas, pesarattu (mung bean pancake) , 1 idli (rice cake) , 2 vada (savory lentil donut), 2 puris (fried bread) , aloo kurma , upma ( savory semolina stir fry) / pongal (savory rice and lentil dish) , rava kesari / halwa (semolina based sweet) or dessert of the day with sambhar (lentil soup) and a variety of dipping sauces (chutneys). An Indian style tea or chai is also included.
Many of these items are vegan and so would be vegan friendly as well.
Deducted a star because the service can be improved. They bring out the thali with a bunch of the items included in the thali, but the dosa / pesarattu are cooked per order and had to ask the server a couple of times for them. Some of the other tables had a similar experience.
I had leftovers to bring home. P.S. they do not offer any to go boxes for some reason, probably carry your own to go box to carry any leftovers because you most likely...
