I'm putting this up because my other review seemed to go the place where they don't post things sometimes and this is just about the same 5 Star review. We stop in for a meal every so often and it is such a nice comfortable and peaceful place without any rushing or speeding the customers to move along because we're know to camp out after eating....and tip accordingly as well. It's actually more comfortable now because they had an improvement to the furniture and whole restaurant the couple of times we went and the door weren't open and it shows they did a very nice job on the whole place. The food is nice and I'm order a little different and they made it the way I prefer it and for my friends that I go with as well never have a bad thing to say. One of the nicest things is when they had a new manager name Lefteris...I think that's how he spells it and each person I asked said Lefty but each time I've been there he has stopped over to the table to say hi and he makes you fell like a cousin invited to his home so he says hi and always waves to people on the way in and out as I observe everything. We also had an awesome waiter the last time named Sam and I hope he stays there because I'm a Super JEENOUS and he is pretty capable and having a short conversation about anything while still taking care of the tables. Same and the manager Lefteris are a major asset for an establishment that needs people to come to keep the place going. The only problem was each time I ate my breakfast that I order in the evenings before I could take a couple of photos of it and I do have to say the presentation on the plate is really first class unlike every advertisement and commercial on tv you see and then the food looks like a truck ran over it instead of like the photos. All in all we were very happy and I'm very know for my brutal honesty and many times people will come over and say hi aren't you ????? AND I always say I wish I had his money so I just need to make sure I get a nice quiet booth where I can hide and eat in peace and so far so good because of the hours that I go there with people isn't during the busiest times. Thanks so much and we'll be back soon and remind me to take the pictures before the food goes down my chin pipes. A.Z.
The Milkshake photos says it all..... Greatest Milkshake and the memories just...
Read moreWe were so let down that a diner with such a wide variety of food on the menu couldn't deliver on taste.
Starting with drinks: iced tea isn't hard to make... but when it tastes stale and old, there's a problem. Thankfully, that was replaced with a soda and an odd eye roll from the server. We had the Hot Open Brisket special at dinner, and the meat was dry and underseasoned. It was served with the most bland brown gravy we've ever tasted, no flavor at all. Sides were just as disappointing with mashed potatoes that tasted a week old and reheated, with the same bland brown gravy on them. Broccoli that was super bright green, but again tasted old and like it had been nuked in a microwave for 10 seconds before being thrown on the plate. Potato salad apparently contains bell peppers but again with no seasoning, not even salt. Thank goodness my niece ordered breakfast food because at least her kid's meal was good, and she was thrilled to have cinnamon on her French toast.
Service was no better, sadly. Sanai was our server and didn't greet anyone with a good attitude (not our table or either of the other 3 we saw her interact with). After taking our order, she went and stood back behind the counter and played on her phone, right on the counter. When salads came out, she delivered two sets of utensils for three guests and seemed confused when we had to ask for an additional one. Never came back to check on how the food was or refill drinks. When it came to the check, there was no asking if we needed anything else, offer of desserts or to go boxes, just a check dropped off and back behind the counter to play on her phone. No communication to pay up front or at the table. We paid up front, which seemed to cause a hassle for someone to come use the cash register, but again, there was zero communication about that.
I really did try to convince myself that it's worth 2 stars overall, and I'm struggling to come up with anything that warranted the extra star. I'm sure breakfast is fantastic, but unfortunately, dinner service...
Read moreI brought my girl friend here for lunch in early August, and got there before she did. The owner seated me himself. I’ve lived near this restaurant and have dined here for about three years. This was my first time meeting the owner, and he was having a blast working the floor. He greeted several patrons by name and enjoyed joking around with a few of them. I was a stranger to him, and my friend was late, so he brought over hot bread (“We bake our own bread!” he said) and coffee. I inhaled almost all the bread and real butter, oh my. He asked where I was from, then told me he moved here from Greece. He was so nice, and now I understand why there’s a Greek section of the menu. They also have a section for deli sandwiches, Italian specialties, and dinner entrees like meat loaf, fish, shrimp, chicken and roast beef. My friend and I ordered chicken noodle soup, a club sandwich, and an appetizer platter. Everything was done well. In times past, my husband and I have come here at around 9 o’ clock at night for a piece of pie or cake and coffee. They have gorgeous desserts in a bakery case when you walk in. I’ve had their Greek chicken plate, and it was generously portioned and seasoned perfectly. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is that our server forgot our requests twice. And over the years, the impression I get is that the servers there are nice, but tired. Not sure why, but they’re just not as professional as I’ve seen elsewhere. Anyway, it’s a nice enough place to go and I hope you...
