The atmosphere in the Sunrise location is wildly uncomfortable for the customer. The person I assume is the manager was passive aggressively yelling at the other employees to welcome customers in at the door to which every employee rolled their eyes at. Some employees who were on break were catcalling to other employees who were working, distracting them and pulling them away from working while the number of orders piled up. People from online orders, not myself, came in to realize that their order wasn't even started to be made. I was considering dining in, but after seeing all of that, I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.
I ordered a little bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a milkshake. I had to wait 30 minutes from when I ordered to receive my food and they forgot the milkshake, which made me wait longer while my food got cold. I had to tell them what my milkshake order was 3 times before they started making it, and then I found out they got my food order wrong as well; they forgot the bacon. This is horrible service and I wouldn't consider it "fast" food or "quick service" food. I've gotten my food faster and more correct at a sit down restaurant with multiple people at the table rather than just me.
The food itself was just okay. Kind of what you'd expect, but with the service given, it was cold. The burger was a bit overcooked and the fries were mushy. The milkshake was pretty good, though.
The management should be working to create a comfortable environment for everyone rather than a hostile workplace for employees and an uncomfortable experience for customers, and the training for the employees should be improved. Read moreThis is my first visit to a Five guys in probably 5 or 6 years. I must tell you I am absolutely impressed with this location. If you don't read anything else. Go visit this location!!! When I walked in the door, i was greeted by Felicia with a big smile and she said she would be right with me. I told her to "take her time" and she smiled and said "awwww thank you". I wasn't expecting that response, normally when i say that i get no response. Anyhow after looking over the menu, i decide on what to order and at about the same time Lamar comes over to take my order. Lamar was very friendly and even asked me how my day was going. I can appreciate the small talk as it makes visits more personal. I pay and walk over to the "pick up here" sign. I notice that the kitchen is spotless. Proper protective equipment was being used and most importantly everyone working seemed to be very happy. As i overanalyzed how clean everything was, i took time to notice how friendly Felicia was to everyone in this establishment. I do not know if she is a manager or what her official position is but she is an absolute delight to have around. Whatever you are paying that woman, you should consider giving her a raise. She truly cares about the business and it's customers. Normally i take pictures of the food to post with my reviews but i got stuck in terrible traffic on my way to my house and i ate half of it in the car. I know, thats terrible but most of it was at the traffic light that took for 5 cycles to go through.

Read moreI usually go to the 5 guys in plantation but on this particular day they were temporarily closed, so I decided to travel a little further to the sunrise location.
After purchasing my order I checked the bag before leaving, everything looked ok so I returned to work.
When I opened my burger I noticed I only had 1 patty instead of 2. No big deal I called immediately to let them know and to be refunded the difference in price.
I was told that they do not give refunds, but they can make the burger over. I explained that due to the distance and the fact that I’m still working that would not be possible. The young ladies response was that it was not that much money. I told her I agree, however I still want my money back in USD not burger bucks.
Finally she told me the manager was not in for the day and to call back tomorrow. When I spoke to the manager she basically made the same offer as the server. She claims that she reached out to the store GM and that they said they do not give refunds, but he will reach out to me. It’s been weeks and no response.
It’s not about the money at all. It’s your shady business practice as a company. if you made a mistake in what you charged me no big deal just refund the difference. I am not asking for a full refund.
