Quite old and run down honestly. Pros: Plenty of parking including covered area which is great for the hot temps. Cookies every day if you want them. Restaurant service was good. Close to the mall and i75.
Cons: Rooms very outdated by modern hotel standards including the TVs. Front desk service was variable. Ev charging severely lacking. The tesla one seems to work fine but the GE one was broken for our entire 2 week stay and we relied heavily on other local charging options as a result. Restaurant very expensive for what you get, this is probably because they want to soak up as much of your $15 daily food credit as possible. The $22 morning buffet is so overpriced it's criminal.
Overall I wouldn't stay again the rooms were small and not well soundproofed because they're interconnected. The lack of reliable EV infrastructure and penny pinching ambience put me off.
Since the business has just replied let me reiterate and clarify some of the points I made:
The J1772 EV charger was not working for our entire 2 weeks stay. We reported the issue to front desk who acknowledged the issue and gave no time for repair citing issues with parts supply. To respond by placing blame on the customer not having the correct adaptor shows a fair amount of ignorance surrounding ev charging but also doesn't look good. There is no adaptor required on the customer's part. A J1772 will fit many types of car. The issue was and is your charger being broken - something your maintenance section confirmed to me. Not only this but hotels gain tax breaks based on their ev charging infrastructure. A guest benefit indeed but it needs to be working to actually be realized. Don't act like you're doing the paying customer a favor for providing what I expected when I booked. In most other hotels in the area, Netflix and/or streaming via iphone/android is possible to televisions. HMDI as a standard began in 2002, this is not a modern benefit. Since you wish to bring up the matter of service, your daytime front desk staff specifically Ramy were great and incredibly helpful I agree. At nighttime this was not always the case and we were lied to when we asked if bottled water was available or not. A 3 star review on my part is fair given my personal experiences in this case with this hotel. You can't make every stay perfect for everyone and some things are indeed out of your control but the hotel's response to criticism here is quite unprofessional. Adjusted to 2 stars...
Read moreMy stay was wonderful until after midnight. Having been the front office manager at a resort I appreciate great customer service and I have to say when I checked in Rosa at the front desk was 5 star.. I advised Rosa at checkin that I had my dog with me. She explained the pet policy and I advised her that my reservation said that the hotel was pet friendly. She asked to see my reservation so that if it did say pet friendly she could get it corrected and asked if I would email it to her which I did. Because I was only there for one night she advised that she would honor my reservation but I would not be able to extend. Perfect way of handling the situation. Five star service, Rosa, and I will remember your name because of it. However, My experience with the night audit guest service agent was the complete opposite. I came down to take my dog out and purchase bottled water There was another guest at the desk and my dog being a husky mix "talked" with a single bark to the man at the desk. The agent says with an attitude "You have a dog? Dogs are not allowed here. I said " I understand but my reservation said that you do and so it was taken care of when I checked in" She continued to make it an issue in front of the other guest and basically implied that I was lying and my reservation wouldn't have said that the hotel was pet friendly. On top of that, as I started to walk away she started talking to the other guest about me and how I didnt have a service dog, which I never implied that I did, because service dogs don't bark. Completely irritated I told her I would be back with my reservation so that she could see it and told her it was inappropriate to talk about me to another guest. I also needed to pay for two additional drinks when I came back . She saw me come up to the desk and walked in the office and shut the door. I called out to her and waited for her to come back out but she didn't. I decided to sit in the lobby and wait. Finally she came back out and was walking to the front door. I said "excuse me" but instead of acknowledging me she walked out the front door. When she came back in she saw that I was still there and again I said "excuse me" to get her attention to which she turned around and walked the other way down the hallway. So unprofessional. I never was able to pay for the drinks either because she refused...
Read moreI strongly discourage anyone from booking and paying for a junior suite. My spouse and I recently stayed at this hotel on 3--4 June 2025 and paid for a junior suite. We were given room 811 which was not a junior suite but instead a wheelchair accessible room. The bathroom did not have a full counter hence limited counter space and the mirror was extremely narrow and tilted forward and was only good enough for brushing and flossing teeth...not dressing. The shower seat attached to the wall had clear mildew growth under and around the steel bars. There is no proper closet and I was forced to hang my clothing on the towel hook of the bathroom door because it dragged on the floor when hung on the clothes rack which is designed for a physically challenged person. We needed to iron our clothes but the room had a child size (just like a toy) ironing board. We had to place the ironing board on the coffee table and sit in a chair to iron. It took almost thirty minutes to iron a piece of clothing on the kiddie size board. The couch had a stain on the arm and the furniture was dated, chipped and discolored. The experience was horrible. As Hilton Honors members, we have been staying at this property for greater than ten years and the standard has decreased significantly. We had to ask for cookies at check in and water is no longer complimentary ($3 for a 500mls bottle as displayed in the room) even to Hilton Honors members. The mat in the elevator was dirty when we checked in and the same was not cleaned/vacuumed the next day when checking out. I opted to provide this review because this is not the first time that we booked a junior suite at this property and was given a wheelchair accessible room - I could not let them get away this time. Based on this stay and our past experience with booking a junior suite, it appears that junior suites are nothing more than wheelchair accessible rooms. Save your money and book a regular room with a full closet, standard iron board and full bathroom...
