Located in a strip mall in Weston, the outdoor seating is not conducive to dinner time. Greeted by a very friendly hostess and then led upstairs to a 4 top that was made into a 5 top with an end chair. The surroundings are comfortable, rustic and with sufficient lighting. A guitarist during dinner created a wonderful ambiance! Ordered a bottle of Lebanese red that was very tart and required breathing. The waiter who spoke no English, only Spanish did not understand and started pouring the wine despite me saying no....which should be fairly universal at this stage. Nonetheless, luckily our waitress appeared and we requested a decanter. Wine had to breathe for about 30 minutes, a bit more palatable after that. Ordered a selection of mezze that arrived fairly quickly. The menu is not extensive but sufficient. A second waiter who also spoke no English arrived at the table with the appetizers. We asked for olive oil but he did not understand. The fried kibbeh was very dry but had a good flavor, the tabbouleh was overly salty, the babbaganoush was tasty, the vegetarian vine leaves were tasteless and the falafel looked dry, bust was tasty. Ordered some main courses that arrived in a very reasonable time frame. The lamb chops were tasty but were somewhat charred, the kibbeh nayeh was good but needed more radish and mint in the serving. Ordered baklava for the table for dessert. The plating was done well and the pastries were tasty. My expectations having been set, I would...
Read moreThe only reason this isn’t a one-star review is because of the servers. They were friendly, attentive, and clearly doing their best. But unfortunately, everything else was a mess, starting with the host. The host was unbelievably rude. No greeting, no eye contact, and acted like we were an inconvenience from the moment we walked in. This was my second time coming to the restaurant and the host is never at the door. She is always walking down the stairs and no one is at the door. When we asked about our reservation, she rolled her eyes and pointed vaguely toward the back. It felt like she was doing everything in his power to make us feel unwelcome. Lastly I think her name was kina or Mina just letting you know. Then came the food and wow. Just bad. The hummus was bland, the kibbeh was greasy and cold in the center, and the meat had zero seasoning. I’ve had better Lebanese food from a grocery store deli counter. Even the pita tasted stale. It’s one thing to have an off night, but this felt like no one in the kitchen cared. Huge credit to the server who tried to make things better. They were polite and checked on us regularly, even when it was clear the food was disappointing. Honestly, they deserve a raise for working under that kind of front-desk energy. If the restaurant ever replaces the host and overhauls the kitchen, it might be worth trying again. Until then, I’m...
Read moreI didn't want to let a single day go by to write my review of this restaurant. Our initial option was to eat Del Mar at the restaurant next door, but when we got to the parking lot we saw a Lebanese restaurant and decided to just go “see the menu” but when we walked through the door we saw a hidden Lebanese gem in Weston. the resta is beautiful, the decorative details, the crockery, the covered cutlery, the glasses, very Lebanese/Arabic style. Teodora was very nice, but the truth is that it goes up when the food arrived, beautifully decorated and the taste was from beyond. Since we like Lebanese food very much, my husband and I each ordered a Kibbeh Nayeh (raw meat with wheat). This dish was served on a small sheet of marble frozen by the ice that was hidden underneath to maintain the freshness and elegance of the dish. that was really delicious. Well the truth is that each dish was better than the other. Do not forget to ask for the stuffed vine leaves that are worldwide and the desserts are something that you will not be able to avoid because they are added with a rich Sweet rose serum sprayed from a beautiful "Aladdin's lamp". so if you like this type of food, this is the restaurant you should not miss. oh! And as a final comment, the chef is the owner, with Lebanese roots and her husband, he is a maracucho / Lebanese who will give something to...
