Wings in Weston, in the Indian Trace Shopping Center, is a wonderful little sports bar located right where Weston, Sunrise and Davie all come together. It has easy access to each and to the interstates. It can be a little hard to find, as it's off the main streets of Weston Road and Indian Trace, but it's worth it.
My visit Tuesday evening, 5/4/21, was to attend a club meeting utilizing the wonderful little private room the establishment offers, in addition to its dining area. This is a tremendous asset for clubs and similar groups that could use space that's not overly large and that also has a good food and drink service in addition. This was certainly in full swing Tuesday evening.
My dinner, as pictured, was an order of the restaurant's trademark wings, unbreaded. They normally come in batches of 5, 10 and 25; the basket you see is 10, priced at $15.99 and included the celery and blue cheese. I had them sauce it in their regular Hot, with a side of XX Hot alongside their excellent blue cheese dip in the picture. These came out smoking hot, perfectly cooked through, with plenty of sauce to satisfy anyone. I almost wished I'd ordered a basket of their fries to go with, just to soak that all that tasty sauce, but the wings - along with the pint of Yuengling I had - honestly were plenty to satisfy the appetite.
I do find them a touch more expensive then much of their local competition; but there's absolutely no way to fault the quality of what you get, and that makes up for it. (They do also run nice little coupons and the like in local books, that can help with this.) My wings were perfectly prepared; and the many other dishes I saw around me - from salads to sandwiches to sliders and burgers, and sides like fries and onion rings and a heap of smothered nachos - were all of excellent size and VERY appealing to the eye. I look forward in particular to returning and trying their Philly cheese steak - which they take much pride in - and the Grilled Rueben I saw. Reports on those when it happens!
Bottom line, Wings in Weston is a great little establishment with excellent food, solid and professional service, and useful amenities that it's well worth your...
Read moreThe wings are good but when a restaurant changes the prices they should have it on the menu. I ate lunch yesterday the price is $12.95 still a bit expensive for lunch. I get the bill and my total is $16.00. I asked the nice.lady who took care of me why and she explained we just raised prices. Of course I said the menu should reflect this and it clearly did not. I told her let the manager know if they want to charge me that price without warning then I will not be back. A minute later the owner or manager is in the front and he proceeds to let me know they put up signs in the restaurant. There's a small one in front on a half of a sheet of copy paper and some around the restaurant to tell you this. No sir print a new menu or put sticker with new price. Almost $15 for 7 wings a soda and fries no value there. It was not the $2 it was the principal and how they proceeded to change price without notice on the menu. Oh and I was never offered the $2.back until I said something to him about not coming back and then he offered it. Again $2 will not break me but I still believe you treat your customers fairly and that's straight BS. Shame on you! Fix this and treat your customers how you would like to be treated. I'm sure if this happened to him in another establishment he would not like it either. Now u want to reply with a lie! Double shame on you. There was no sign on any table near me at all. I'm sure you have signs now and let me add as you stated prices have increased but we did not want to change the menu because prices may come back down. Hog wash! Anyone knows when a restaurant raises the price they don't bring them back down. Stop being cheap and order new menus with your new and permanent prices. Keep arguing with customers see how far this gets you. FOR SURE NOW I WILL NOT BE BACK. OH I KNOW I IT DOESN'T HURT YOUR...
Read moreI have been to this restaurant a few times and have never had a positive experience here. The employees are rude and inattentive. I have had plenty of experiences with restaurants where I have a rude server, long wait, etc. and whenever I bring it to the attention of management, they handle the situation nicely and apologize for the inconvenience. Wings in Weston, however, is an exception to this. Upon complaining to another employee that our waitress had given us bad service, the waitress came and yelled at me for complaining (this was my second time there). This was completely offputting, and yet, I made the mistake of returning to this restaurant once again. When I returned, I did get better service (finally), and did not have an issue with any of the employees. That is, until, when I was paying my bill at the front, a friend of mine was standing at the door, holding it open for us as we finished paying and we’re about to walk out. As he was doing this, a waitress walked up to us and rudely exclaimed “AC costs money you know”. It was extremely rude of her.. I would have had no problem if she had just asked us to close the door because the AC was leaving. But she had to go out of her way to be rude, mind you it was already hot in the restaurant, so it seems that paying for ac shouldn’t be a worry to them. To top everything off, I decided to read other reviews for this restaurant. Every bad review I read had an extremely rude and unprofessional response from the owner such as calling reviewers “brat” and claiming they have a “2nd grade mentality”. I will probably get a rude response as well for stating the truth about my experience here. As a student in the culinary field it is very disappointing to see a restaurant with good food destroy itself with...
