The Stable Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Superior

I reallyyyy wanted to like this place. I’m not sure if they were short staffed today, or what but the experience was not great. We arrived 10 minutes before our reserved golf time, (3:00) and were informed it would be a wait. We didn’t get onto the bay until 20 minutes past our reserved time. Dexter comped our first drinks which was lovely. We must’ve come in during a shift change because that first round of drinks was all we got. Someone showed up promptly at 5 to get us off the bays, though. We sat down to eat and Kit, our server was great. A drink was made improperly, however, and when I approached the bar to rectify it, was met with a lot of attitude from a short male bartender. We ordered a double, it came out as a single. Then he doubled down and informed me he made a double in a short glass, and that’s how it’s always made? I left the bar, and then asked our server to correct it. Short bartender hand delivered the correct drink, and then snatched the original single 😂.

Anyway, for a Saturday it was pretty abysmal service, maybe someone called in or it was a bad day. Anyway, I’d be skeptical to go back, though Kit was an absolutely wonderful server, and I felt bad for her having to apologize for a moody...

TL;DR - Poor service, mediocre food

The setup means little interaction with staff and no real customer service. We had to seat ourselves, scan a QR code for the menu, place our order online, and pay our tab online. Our only real interaction with staff was when our food was dropped off, and the waitress seemed annoyed when we pointed out that the toppings/condiments on all four burgers were wrong (and there was no offer to fix the problems). No one ever came back to check on our table. The restaurant was not busy, so it’s not like they were overrun.

The food itself was also not very good. The toppings on all four burgers we ordered were wrong, two of the burgers were way over cooked, and the tater tots, fries, and chicken strips were all cold. Since no wait staff were around, we couldn’t get any of the issues addressed.

I’m a former waitress/bartender, so I usually give a lot of grace to restaurant staff, but the food and service were way below par. Do...

Worst of the worst. Period! If this place continues to find rock bottom, if it was not attached to the Sports Stable facility, and guaranteed business by the sports Stable, the Eatery restaurant itself would have had to of shuttered up and closed long ago. High prices, horrible service, mediocre food and small portions. The only thing consistent about the sports stable eatery, is bad management, bad service, and overpriced food, oh and they’re raising the prices just about weekly. Sorry! But I’ve had to just give up on “The Eatery” after patronizing the Sports Stable Eatery over many years because of convenience of it to being the only place to eat close by as someone who uses the Sports Stable athletic facility.
