Lost My Business: 1. Walked in & 2 young men behind counter not wearing masks. One remarked to the other, “hey”! put a mask on”! One put on an actual mask on while the other, a bandana-type face covering. They were preparing food. I thanked them for putting their masks on. 2. No one person, including an elderly gentlemen that came out from the back said hello or offered to assist me for a few minutes. I was the only person there. 3. When someone did help, they made me feel like they were doing a favor for me. A $149.00 favor! (1.5 lbs green bean salad, 2 lbs cucumber salad, 1 large sub, 1/4 lb prosciutto, 1/2 lb Honey Ham, 4 pignoli cookies, 1 slice tiramisu, container of bread chips, 1 cannoli, 1 loaf hard as a rock bread, I hard round Italian loaf, 1 large & 1 small very dry rice ball, & 10 Garlic wings). 4. I asked for a whole sub, which cost $19.00, and not only did they get it wrong, but when one guy thought I was not listening he asked the other guy if he should use the old one!! The answer was yes!!! Not sure if that meant the bread because the top of the sub was chewy and 2 inches shorter then the bottom. 5. I asked for bread and for the guy serving it to check for the softest loaf and his response was, “they have all been sitting here for the same amount of time.” WOW! 6. They use Boar’s Head for everything! Go to ShopRite and save yourself the money. 7. Oddly enough, their best product is Garlic Parmesan Wings. Avoid the trap, save your money, and go somewhere else to buy a quality product from a business that cares about your patronage.

The reopened Mario's is serving up delicious Italian deli eats for your LBI needs. I read up on the old Mario's having to be saved and I'm glad the rescue plan worked because the remodeled store is gorgeous and the staff is great - shout out to the young guy who had answers for all my questions and kept it real during our convos about the deli's NY/NJ authenticity. Food: Every sandwich we got was dank. Every single one. Price: A little expensive but if you know how massive these sammies are, you won't be mad. Pro tip: Get a half and split it between 2 ppl. You will be completely satisfied Orders I can cosign: Fried eggplant Milanese Bruschetta #6 Imported Italiano Roast Beef #8 Prosciutto di Parma - heavy cosign. I'll go so far as to say it reminded me of the nearly identical sandwich I got in Positano before going to Black Sand Beach. Keep up the good work!

Picked up 15 meatballs and 4 quarts sauce, plus pasta and bread for a Sunday family dinner where we added our own sausage. Everyone loved it. Also regularly get sandwiches and sides. Chicken cutlet and fried scallops are also great. Pic below.

An okay place nothing special, since there's not a whole lot of choice on the Island. 2 guys that work there are the 2 most miserable people on LBI(my wife said even worse than me). The prepared food always looks old, cold cuts are Boars Head(BH is okay). But a real Italian deli would never have Boars Head or Thumanns Mortadella. Neither one of those companies know how to make it. The Original owner Mario unfortunately passed away a few years ago. He was a real gentleman and a...
