Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Surf City

Stopped there this past Saturday mid-bike ride with a 4 and 5 yo who had been promised Rita’s an hour before. The only problem was their parents hadn’t checked what time Rita’s opened and we pulled up a full hour before the noon opening. As we were about to break it to them, an employee opened the window and said that while they wouldn’t technically open for an hour, depending on what we planned to order she could probably serve us. Of course one kid wanted an advertised special with all the bells and whistles or bust and somehow they were able to whip up something acceptably similar for him. there's so many flavors! The board of flavors changes every day so it's cool to try something new! My favorite flavors are always there becuase I like almost all of them, I don't just stick to one flavor. I understand that during the day the popular flavors will sell out so I wont get upset if mango or cherry are gone. They made amazing accomodations for my allergies which was super sweet as well. Place serves good food down in florida it isn't as good as it is up here for sure. Only thing i didn't like was the fluctuating wait times and no inside. one day its fast one day 10 minutes on day 2 one day 7 it's not a big deal but wish it was same overall.
