Surf City Pizza — Restaurant in Surf City

I always stop here for slices. The big dilemma is one slice or two because one is divine but never seems like enough & 2 makes me feel like a fat pig. So I can’t speak for pies but the slices are a solid 8 out of 10, with the crust being a 10 out of 10. The sauce is good, cheese is fine (sometimes a bit more than I prefer). But the crust - they nail it IMO & really that’s the most critical element. $3 a slice is completely reasonable. Slice size is average - not huge. I always sneak over here when we come down to Manahawkin. Makes me wish I was younger so I could eat a whole pie without consequences! Lol!...

Pizza: great crust, generous toppings, sauce and toppings were a little bland. I only had the special slice so I can’t speak to more than that though as far as flavor goes. The chicken and bacon on top didn’t give off much flavor besides salt. Atmosphere: classic jersey pizzeria with sparse decor, pizza display counter and those same pizzeria booths everyone has. Service. Fast and friendly and probably the best part of the experience. Definitely what made me choose 4 stars instead of 3 when I was inbetween. The food was good and would have gotten 4 stars except for two things.

When I placed the order I said "I want a sausage pizza, with extra sausage. I don't mind paying extra" and they gave me a sausage pizza (definitely not with extra toppings) and a plain pizza. So the people who answer the phone are clearly mentally disabled. The website claims that they give 8 Oz of blue cheese for the amt of wings we ordered and I'm not an enginner, but it's probably 2.5 oz.
