Firefly — Attraction in Surf City

While I do think the store itself is really cute, the staff need to do better. A while back my mom mentioned how rude they were one of the times she stopped in. I think it was regarding fairy hair for my niece. Which, this evening I saw another review here with a similar story, so sadly its not an isolated incident. Well today I got the same service they did... only I wasn't even shopping there today. I crossed the Blvd and was walking down the street next to the store (not in front of it). One of the employees (older woman) was rearranging things outside when they saw me about 25ft away. She pointed, LAUGHED, said "you better put on sunscreen today" and kept laughing as she turned to continue what she was doing. Mind you, I wasn't shopping there, I wasn't near her, I never said a word to her, looked at her, anything. I don't know this woman. As someone with a very, very fair complexion I have definitely been asked if I've used sunscreen by the older crowd when I was young. But I'm not a child anymore and this was NOT from a place of caring. Never in my life has someone pointed and laughed at my skin tone before. It's wildly inappropriate to ever speak about someone else's body, especially when its a stranger. What a vile thing to do. My mom thinks it may be the same person she dealt with. I Googled fabric store. Joanne Fabrics, Michaels and a few more came up. This store said it was “home goods”. This store is not a fabric store nor “home goods” compared to these stores! Should be under clothing store and beach decorating stuff. It is not worth fighting to the traffic to find a parking spot to discover this store is not even close to...
