With Rito's right down the street being superior to this place, it's honestly crazy they stay in business. If you come for the tacos be prepared to be underwhelmed. It's like they just threw some unseasoned chuck roast in a haphazardly fried, nearly overcooked shell, thew a barely noticeable amount of cheese on it, and called it a taco. It was horrendous. The menu said they had a 3 tacos combo, but for some reason the girl didn't seem to know what was on their own menu board and made me feel stupid for even asking for a 3 taco combo because they apparently despite the menu saying they have one, don't. The only reason I came here was because the Rito's family was on vacation. It was the first and last time. This was BARELY two stars because the rice and beans were edible, but yikes. If mid were defined by drive through Mexican spots this would be the mid drive through Mexican spot posterchild. There's no excuse to come here unless you're just clueless how bad it is like I was. The fact the rating on Google is a 4.7 is laughable. In fact, just because of that, I'm changing this to 1-star until reviewers over 1-star sit in their rooms to think about what...
Read moreIf you've been in Arizona for a while and have struggled to find truly good Mexican food, let me save you some time—Francisco’s Mexican Food is the place to go. After living here for four years, this is the first spot that really reminded me of the Mexican food I grew up with in Southern California. It’s the kind of place that feels like home, from the friendly service to the amazing flavors.
I had the carne asada burrito, and wow—this is the real deal. The carne asada was perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. It was all wrapped up in a soft tortilla with just the right amount of guacamole and salsa. Speaking of salsa, they’ve got a bunch of different kinds, and they’re all fantastic. I couldn’t stop dipping!
What really makes Francisco’s stand out, though, is the people. Everyone is super friendly, and it feels like they genuinely want you to enjoy your meal. If you're missing that authentic Mexican food taste or just looking for a place where you can really enjoy a meal, this spot is it....
