Excited for BBQ! BBQ is about the Brisket and Ribs for me, that’s why I go and try BBQ.

This was a tough one. So I’m going to have to break it into tiers.

  • average food ** above average food
  • Unique and delicious food

5 Stars Mac and Cheese - nice crust on top, creamy but not goopy with good flavor. Green Beans - great flavor and nice pieces of bacon. Potato Salad - light and not overly creamy. Fresh and crunchy vegetables that provided a nice texture contrast that I really enjoyed! BBQ Sauces - an actual wide range of different sauces and flavor profiles. My favorites were the Baja and Tupelo. Brownie - maybe the best restaurant brownie I’ve ever had. Rich but not. Chewy but a little bit of crunch on the edge.

4 Stars Jalapeño & Cheese Sausage - nice balance of heat and sweet. Not too spicy at all. Really nice overall flavor. Classic Sausage - A quality, well prepared, simple piece of sausage. Baby Back Ribs (not pictured) - in the middle of fall off the bone and doesn’t fall off the bone. I enjoyed the texture difference. Nice subtle flavors. Fries - lightly salted, crispy and had unique flavor and texture. Pulled Pork - nice smoke flavor with little parts charred providing texture and more flavor.

3 Stars Brisket - On two separate days, the brisket here was just okay. Okay flavor. The moist cuts and lean cuts were dry and lacked a good bark (for my liking), and not much of a smoke ring. CornBread - this is hit or miss. Day one is was dry, day two it was softer. Both days it was just cornbread, nothing special. Strawberry Shortcake - the strawberries were sliced to a perfect size. The cake was not dry. It was good, but like the cornbread, it was simply okay.

Overall, the prices are more than reasonable compared to other BBQ restaurants. Their sides and brownies are absolutely delicious. I hope the Brisket gets better. Open for 2 days now!

The atmosphere is very family friendly and extremely welcoming. The staff are very attentive, friendly and...

I’m beyond excited that Mission BBQ is coming to our area! I’ve visited their locations in other states and have always been impressedn not just with the amazing BBQ, but with their dedication to honoring our military, first responders, and American values.

The food is always top-notch (brisket and mac & cheese are my favorites), and the atmosphere is patriotic and welcoming. This will be a fantastic addition to the community, and I’ll be one of the first in line on opening day. Welcome to town, Mission BBQ!

Made it in couple days after opening. Brisket was amazing, I ordered the lean cut, tender, perfect smoke flavor and the bark was outstanding! Jalapeño Cheese Sausage was really good but will get classic next time. Mac and Cheese was really good, as were the Baked Beans. 6 different sauces on the table, favorite was Memphis followed by Texas. Also got to try sample of Turkey with Alabama White Sauce, amazing will be getting that next time. Bonus, the Sweet Tea is actually sweet! Overall exceptionally delicious and great customer service! Highly recommend!

Update; second visit was equally good as first, tried the Classic Sausage this time, really good! Memphis BBQ sauce is growing on me, smoky deliciousness.

Update: Tried the Baby Back Ribs, I'm addition to getting brisket again. They were really good, fall off the bone tender. Green Beans are also really good. This place is very consistent and outstanding...

I went to Mission BBQ in Surprise an hour before closing, and even that late, the place was alive and full of energy. They had just sold out of the brisket, which clearly says everything because I was sitting close enough to hear the phone calls coming in. It was nonstop with people trying to place last-minute to-go orders, and the team had to keep breaking the bad news that the brisket was gone for the night. That’s how popular it is.

I had a minor issue with my order, but Dakota went absolutely above and beyond to fix it. She made sure my friend and I left completely happy, the kind of service that instantly makes you a customer for life. You can tell this team genuinely cares; they treat you like family, which is almost unheard of these days.

We had the pulled pork, pulled chicken, jalapeño cheese sausage, fresh-cut fries, cornbread, seasonal baked cheesy potatoes, Granny’s sweet potato mash, and caramel apple cobbler, and everything was outstanding. My favorite sauces are Memphis Belle, KC Classic, Tupelo Honey Hot, and Georgiaah Mustard, and every single one is incredible.

I’ve had the brisket before and it’s phenomenal. I can’t wait to come back and have it all again. The entire staff is amazing, the food is top-notch, and it’s a place that makes you feel good just being there. 10 out of 10. So happy to have this right by me....

They proudly display pictures of military and first responders, unit badges and show patriotic videos. I get it: it’s their theme. What puzzles me is the single “veterans” parking spot out front. I appreciate how much light this place lets in. Give the place some energy. Ample seating options with booths and tables with chairs and bench seating. Tables appear to get wiped down soon after patrons leave. As such, our table didn’t feel sticky. There is a caddy of 6 bbq sauces. All were down to their last couple of squeezes. Booo… Parking can be a challenge with the current state of construction going on nearby. Ordering wasn’t as daunting as I originally thought. We ended up with two combo plates. The chicken was cooked well and not overly dry. Decent flavor with a good amount of smokiness. Baked beans were too sweet for me. Would have liked it to be more smokey to give it some depth. Star of the show was the mac and cheese. It was cheesey with just enough salt added and the macaroni wasn’t mushy. Cornbread was mid. Would I go back? Maybe but there is another joint down the street that is my go to.
