We're tourists that stopped in to eat dinner after a very long day of hiking the trails. We took a chance to eat here not knowing how it would turn out. We were very warmly greeted by the hostess who immediately sat us down at a table (no wait; no line). Our waitress, named Carmen, quickly came to our table and gave us a friendly greeting.
I wasn't sure what their homemade drinks would taste like, and Carmen immediately brought us a free taste sample of their horchata, Tamarindo, and 1 other one (I forgot its name). All 3 were delicious. We picked the Tamarindo. She served us our drinks in huge sized chilled glasses. This exceeded our expectations (because we had come in so thirsty from our hiking). Carmen didn't have to go out of her way to allow us to taste each flavor of drinks in advance, but she was super hospitable and kind.
We ordered vegetable fajitas and milanesa steak. My vegetable fajitas came out still sizzling in its pan. It looked beautiful and so colorful. It was super hot🔥 in temperature, just how I like it! The pan was overflowing in humongous portion of grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, squash, etc. It was grilled to perfection! Bravo to the chef; well done!! On another plate was refried beans, rice, fresh homemade guacamole (fantastic flavor!), hot tortillas (which were carefully tucked inside of foil to keep them super warm), homemade tomato salsa (excellent mix and incredibly fresh), salad, sour cream, etc. It was all served most abundantly.
Eating vegetarian meals is very difficult for me every time I eat out, because normal, typical restaurants seldom prepare warm homemade meals to vegetarians (from where I reside). La Bamba Sazón restaurant is unique in that both a meat eater and a vegetarian couple can walk in and be very satisfied to see a variety of plates offered for both types of folk. I enjoyed every bite of my vegetable fajita. I felt blessed to come here. Good prices and excellent service! I was so surprised with my food. It was beyond what I expected in a vegetable fajita. Carmen and the hostess were super kind and friendly. If I lived in this area, I'd eat here all the time. La Bamba Sazón needs to come down to South Florida! Thank you for your excellent service, Carmen! May God...
Read moreI had to pick up materials in the industrial park nearby & googled top rated restaurants by distance. This restaurant was at the top of the list. I ordered the Bandeja Paisa - a Columbian dish. First off, it was an immense amount of food!! I didn't even realize there was white rice in the container until the second time I ate it. The chorizo was by far the best I've ever eaten!! Texture was great & flavor was fantastic - a mix of traditional & some spices new to me in chorizo. The half avocado was fresh & green. The carne asada was terrific - both tasty & tender. The chicharrones were excellent - crunchy & when dunked in their jalapeno salsa, phenomenal! The fried plantains were cooked perfectly & there were quite a few. The little roasted chili peppers lit me right up - yum! The fried egg was crispy around the edges & cooked through - I kinda wish the yolk was runny. I was pleased with the arepa also - the addition of their mild salsa made it that much better. I'm already planning another trip from Bristol & bringing some friends! This restaurant...
Read moreUsed to really like them. Ordered from them all the time and Ate in as well. But this last time I ordered I ordered two burrito Tentación. What we got was some thing that was completely different than what was in the description(“Burrito with fajita veggies, pork, steak, shrimp, pinto beans, rice, pico de Gallo, guacamole, sour cream and lettuce served with a side of fries”)And I mean completely. Not to mention it was extremely spicy which again was not in the description and neither my son or I like. I had ordered two. We cannot eat them. When I called she offered to send me some of the ingredients that it was missing completely missing the point that it had ingredients already that it shouldn’t have. I spent a lot of money just to get the wrong thing. When I told her it was too late because I already got the order and I wasn’t gonna wait around for someone to send me some sour cream and guacamole she said OKaaay? and hung up on me. So I guess That’s my last...
