The food had no taste none. Me and my wife had 2 bacon cheese burgers and unsweetened tea and a water they charged $28.53. No sides nothing. We placed our order and took hour and 10 min to get our food. We were sat next to the restrooms and it smelled like they had a plumbing back up issue. The table next to us had to ask for seasoning for his burger never refilled our drinks after asking twice and I asked for some ranch dressing that I never received. The place looks nice but it is not worth the money. We had to wait about 5 min at the door even though tables were open because the lady was talking to the cooks that seat you. We finally got a seat and it took so long for the one waitress to come ask what we wanted. The older lady that just take people to the seats and give tickets just on her phone or talking. We waited forever for our ticket we finally just got up and walked to the door and paid she said you have to wait for you ticket. I responded I waited hour 10 min for my food and waited 20 min for my ticket after asking and she never came back so just ring me up so I can leave. We waited so long for the dang food that we missed the whole street dance show, missed the Christmas tree lightning and over have the live band we drove 2 hours to see this and missed all of it so we left and played mini golf and games at bowling alley. Very disappointing. Also we saw people that came in after us had received their food and had started eating before we even got our food. It was disappointing to see people eating after we ordered way before they even entered the building. It appears they cook one table at a time and if at the bar they put you first. Never going back again. Even one hot dog is 7bucks they charge a dollar per anything added. So our burger was 7 bucks I added mustard and ketchup it went to 9 bucks. 4.00 for a glass of water is insane to me. The burger is small we literally paid 28.53 and left went to McDonald's got 2 happy meals and it...

I found Yana's when my husband and I moved to Camp Lejeune (yes we're military). I noticed there was always a line out the door (that's your first clue that this is something special). We went back during the week hoping to avoid the weekend crowd and have been going for over a year now on a regular basis.
Food- cook to order breakfast and lunch, amazing milkshakes and malts. I have been ordering different dishes and working my way through the menu for a year now and I've never had a bad meal. Burgers are my fav, and their breakfast is amazing! Plus the coconut pie! As for these "reviews" let me keep it real for you. Wait times-It's cook to order, so yeah you have to wait, but I don't mind because I prefer fresh food to stale hot lamp food. You want fast go to Mc Donalds. Get the fritters! I see some cry babies whining about too much sugar. Its fruit fried in what resembles funnel cake dough covered in powdered sugar. Of course its sweet - what moron would think that would be sugar free? If too much sugar hurts your sensitive tummy then order something else. Also fritters are meant as an appetizer not a main dish. Service- the staff is awesome and friendly, they give you your space but keep the glasses full. If you want deep meaningful conversations open an online dating profile and go on a date. Décor- 50's themed diner. So yes their are lots of photos, and Elvis/Marilyn/James Dean memorabilia. It's charming. It has that old 70s wood paneling which why update? its 50s themed. It's not olive garden. If you want mundane processed food in a pretty room go to olive garden. I would sit in this vintage 50s themed diner and eat AWESOME...
Read moreThis renowned breakfast and lunch spot in downtown Swansboro is popular with locals and tourists alike. The old drugstore-turned-diner is adorned with '50s memorabilia (including a jukebox in the store window). Seating is a row booths, a few tables and limited counter space. Be warned: the restaurant opens at 7 a.m., and if you don't arrive by 8 a.m. (7-7:30 on weekends in the summer), then you'll be standing/seating in a line outside that can extend well down the sidewalk.
Their best and most well-known breakfast item is their fritters, available in 5 or 10 count and topped with whipped cream powdered sugar. Multiple fruit flavors are available (I prefer the apple), but you can't mix-and-match. In truth, a table of 2-4 could/should share a 10 count and make that their entire meal.
The regular breakfast menu is fairly standard as far as options and presentation. My ham and cheese omelet was good, but I've had much better from many more places. The biscuits are large and fluffy, but, again, I've had better.
The lunch menu is standard burgers, dogs and other sandwiches. I haven't eaten at Yana's for lunch, so I can't speak to their quality.
Wait staff is friendly and mostly attentive. The downside of my one visit was our particular waiter, who said he was new and showed it: clumsy in his order-taking, disappeared for long stretches (who knows where given the small size of the facility) and worst of all was late delivering our fritters, then brought our breakfast entrees literally 2 minutes after the fritters finally arrived. Thankfully, his lackluster performance did not appear endemic to the rest of the staff.
I'd highly recommend Yana's as a breakfast spot if you're in the Swansboro area. Just come early...
