I've been both a customer and delivery driver for this particular restaurant. Today I was picking up a delivery. I got there and was told the order was not ready yet but would be soon. 10 minutes later a tall guy with glasses approaches me and asks me to call the customer and let them know they didn't have X item and ask what they wanted as a replacement for the restaurant to prepare it. That's when he lost me. A 9 minutes drive (2.6 miles) on top of +10 minutes wait was enough already (not like I was being paid $100 for this). I told him I was going to cancel the order since the wait time + more time to prepare what was missing was not worth it for me. He didn't like that so I told him that it's his responsibility to contact the customer and fulfill the order. Now to be honest I will 99% of the time contact a customer if the merchant asks me to. That is IF they ask me to do so right when I get to the restaurant. Among the thousands of deliveries I've made so far this is the only one where the merchant didn't ask ahead of time. So when I cancelled and started walking away he followed me!!!! Again, make no mistake tall guy with glasses!!! "There was no need for me to cancel the order" said the princess, like my time should be devoted to Fiesta Mexico. He said that was very bad business to which I replied that indeed it was bad business from him to expect me to be ok with such abusive wait time. He said no it was a bad business on my part and he would contact Uber to let them know about my bad business to which I proceeded to ask him to get me fired. He said he knew I didn't care about my "little part time thing" and that he would contact Uber anyways. I don't know if he owns the business, if he supervises or what. Here's my advice to him: if you really want to take care of this business start by doing things the right way. Don't expect a person to drive there and then be at your mercy, let them know ahead of time what's going on so we can help ourselves to make things faster. Second, we are contractors, so the moment in which I say I'll cancel the order just let me go and don't follow me to the door and start an altercation. Last but not least be more humble my guy. Never approach another grown man with that bossy attitude and start questioning his work ethic especially when you are...
Read moreThe place is very nice looking inside, but once you get to the table it all changes up. Table was sticky, seats are all ripped up. Our food came out spoiled. I owned a diner, my fam8ly owns restaurants and I have a food service license. I can smell a.rptten dish from a mile away. I git the " Jose's Special" with had beef and chicken taquitos, 2 enchiladas and a taco with rice. The second the food runner placed it in front of me, I smelled it. The sour, fishy smell of spoiled food. I bit into the chicken taquito and there it was. Sour and fishy. The beef one had a sour, sulfuric smell. I quickly spit it out to avoid becoming ill, and tried the enchilada. ZERO spices. Just grey beef crumbles in a soggy tortilla. Even the red sauce was bland. The "taco"....think, Old el Paso crunchy shell from the supermarket. More grey beef grounds, a pinch of queso fresco and lettuce. Again, NO FLAVOR. We all know know that is not an authentic taco. All that restaurant, and serving up taco bells evil twin. I had them take the plate away. Then some lady came up with some, "we the made everything this morning" nonsense with an attitude that I want even remotely interested in hearing. My hub, who is Indian and adores spicy mexican food, ordered chicken tamale and couldn't even try to stomach it. The rice was minute rice. Don't even tell me that it's fresh. And it was was starting on the edge of sour too....which is EXTREMELY dangerous. Spoiled rice and pasta is deadly once bacteria forms. I wouldn't allow anyone at the table to eat it, altho he did and we are now trying to figure out what to do as we are here with kids at a hotel to take to Hershey Park tomorrow and both have gas and diarrhea starting up. I keep burping up that sour funk from the 1 bite i took in before trying to quick spit the rest out. The owner? came up and agreed the dish was spoiled and took 2 meals off the bill. Normally I wouldn't review, but serving up spoiled food is very bad and can really hurt a person and it's in NO way shape or form acceptable, and especially hits a nerve in those of us in the food service business. I direct this message for the owners to read rather than to...
Read moreMy wife and I used to frequent this place quite often in the past, but a bad health report years ago put us off. We decided to give it a another go for a Sunday lunch while shopping in the area.
I ordered a virgin Daquari which was really good for the steamy day and my wife’s lemonade hit the spot as well.
Chips and salsa were provided quickly and they were really good. Salsa has a little spice to it, but nothing that someone sensitive should worry about at all.
I ordered a taco salad which consisted of beef, refried beans, cheese, lettuce, sour cream and a half tomato slice in a fried tortilla bowl. It had zero seasoning to the beef and was quite bland. The refried beans tasted like they can from a can. I would not recommend it.
Wife went with the a la carte menu and got a chicken taquito and a chili rellenos, the later being her favorite from years ago. The taquito came with guac, lettuce, and sour cream. She said it was good, the guac and sour cream provided some flavor as her chicken wasn't seasoned well. The chili rellenos had very little beef filling and was drown in what seemed to be American cheese. She said it was much different than what she remembered and she wouldn’t recommend it.
Our server was outstanding! Checked in on us often, very friendly, and was prompt removing dishes and getting our check ready.
The atmosphere is pretty great as well. The seating is comfortable, the decorations are tasteful, and there is plenty of seating for large families. The music was festive and not too loud at all.
The menu has a lot of selections for proteins and also has a vegetarian section. I wish they used a different fish than Talapia, if you haven’t looked into how that species of fish is farmed, please look. It is so nasty.
Plenty of alcoholic drinks on the menu including beers, mixers, and such. I cant recall seeing wine or not, sorry.
If you’re looking for a festive and friendly place to get drinks and apps, this is your place. If you’re looking for delicious authentic latino food, look elsewhere.
Out bill for two people with no alcohol came to roughly $30, so it is...
