I want to explain why I gave the restaurant a one star order boneless wings I was given wings with bones didn't complain about the situation due to my brother's wife passing and it was after the funeral thing the waitress comes out and she says he gave you chicken with bones in it and you ordered the boneless still didn't have a problem with the situation she replied do you still want the boneless you okay yes it wasn't my mistake it was the kitchen cook management I don't know what the problem was instead of her bringing me my boneless chicken out first she came and said that he wanted the wings back I was already eating on the wings I don't understand out of a mistake that he made what was the purpose of taking something that I was already eating and taking it back from me mind you I didn't complain because of the circumstances trying to comfort my brother from losing his wife and if that wasn't already bad enough not working restaurants before I worked in the Sampson Street oyster House the chat aquants restaurant cuizine we never make a mistake like this and do the customer like that I wanted to say and I see a lot of reviews on here that are outstanding and I guarantee you it's the whites if I was white would you have done that to me but I was black and you wanted me deliberately to be nasty but I overlooked it all because of the situation of my brother's wife passing and still paid for what I ordered with still no complaints waited until I got home like the gentleman that I am professional at all time to call a manager up to let them know the situation that happened to me yesterday I haven't even told my family until we left there and they asked me why didn't I say something sooner and I didn't want a uproar again on the situation of my brother's wife passing so with that being said I'm never going to go into any Ruby Tuesdays there's some races going on that is not appropriate for my money I usually cook for myself anyway mind you they might spit in...
Read moreI got a burger and it was really good but I felt the portion size was small. Despite the size it was filling. I am not one to jump to conclusions... but like 2 hours after eating I had to make a few "Business" Trips to 2nd avenue for "water" leaks.
I did not get the salad bar because it looked... old and lacking. Also kinda overpriced... Best way to describe it is to simply take a salad and leave it out on a table for 4-5 hours. I did go during a slow time so if you go when it is busy it will probably be fresher. Also the salad by is right near the entrance where almost all foot traffic goes... kinda sketchy health wise in my book. Salad Dressings are in a bowl where you scoop it out... kinda sketchy in my book as well... would be better to have pour bottles.
Service was decent, my only complaint is that the some staff were not obvious as they appeared to not be wearing the uniform. When we entered there was no one at the front desk and the person who came up and sat my party had a normal sweatshirt. I am not complaining the staff was not at the desk to greet us, just that when they came to the desk it was a bit confusing like are we being guided to a table by a customer. Maybe give staff Ruby Tuesday Sweatshirts as I understand wearing a regular sweatshirt if you are cold.
It is quite obvious that the main goal of the restaurant is alcohol as the menu makes several references to alcohol. I felt the static (Specials) table menu was a bit to big and took up table space and hit table condiments (salt and pepper)... and complex (was like an entire menu 3-5 pages).
The general menu was also a bit complicated to go through as burgers were on three pages. Pictures were good and what you saw is what you got.
Overall I would rather go to a Red Robin where the portions are a bit bigger and you get endless...
Read moreMy first visit to Ruby Tuesday will be my last. I ordered a smokehouse burger I believe it was called. Asked for no cheese because of an health issue. Food took a while to come out and when the rest of my party was served mine was still no where to be found. Bizarre when a burger takes longer than ribs to make. When my food finally arrived there was a bunch of cheese on it. I kindly requested that they take it back and make me a new one. My waiter apologized for the mistake and offered me the salad bar free of charge for my wait. I appreciated that. I'm used to places adding cheese to my order so it's a normal but annoying thing that happens to me fairly often. I ate a small salad and my food still didn't arrive. By then my party was done eating. The manager came out and apologized and informed me that his staff attempted to scrape the cheese off my food instead of actually making me a new order. I was honestly not suprised but extremely disappointed. The manager had caught them and explained to them that that's not a good idea because of allergies. And I'm glad he caught them doing it and sent them to remake it. I'm outraged that they attempted to do that but relieved the manager knew better and stopped the food from getting to me. But it really makes me think that they probably do that on the regular and jeopardize many people's health by taking the east route and simple removing the item a customer didn't request. When my food did arrive, the onion rings on my burger we're undercooked and my burger was a little dry. Ate it quickly, regardless because I really had no desire to complain or wait for new food again. I had very high hopes but I don't think I'll be returning. The lemonade was delicious though so I'll give them a few...
