I called ahead to see how late the restaurant was open because google said 9:30pm but Maps said 10pm and the woman who I spoke with on the phone confirmed it was 10pm. We got there within a few minutes around 8:30pm and were completely let down to see that almost the entire buffet was empty. An hour and a half left and they didn’t bother refilling anything. To pay full dinner price for it was almost insulting. My girlfriend scraped the last of the rice for her first plate, and the rest of the time was spent scavenging to even make one full plate. They also turned the heat off on the table so all food was room temperature or colder. Then at about 9:20, we were given the check because they wanted us out so they could close early. My dad was also getting a container of soup to go and the waitress ran over and made sure to add $3 onto the bill. My mom said that it’s a bit ridiculous that we’re paying full dinner price and then they made sure to throw that $3 on when what they were providing was already way less than it should of been. After hearing that, our waitress talked with the manager and they decided to take the $3 back off. Only a few minutes after that, this older sassy woman came up to our booth and was practically shooing us out of our booth saying “ haha all good? Okay good. We closed. Haha.” That was at 9:45pm when we still had like 15 minutes to get out. And trust me, we all understand when people want to get out early. We’re not the type to keep people passed close, but as I said, we were told 10 on the phone. That’s what I responded with and she just seemed shocked that I talked back to her and was trying to argue closing time. Pretty soon after that we got up and left because we didn’t want to stay there any longer with all of the tension that was now present. We’ve eaten there before and never had anything like this so maybe it was the staff that was on tonight, but after this experience, we won’t be returning and will recommend anyone to...
Read morei am just leaving this place now actually sobbing my eyes out. i am a single mom who brought her autistic toddler out for lunch. my son cries with very small changes of atmosphere so if he drops something, someone comes too close, or things like that, he cries. we had never tried a buffet experience with just the two of us, so i wasn't sure how this would go. he had a few crying fits but i managed to help regulate him. our server was sooooo nice and understanding. close to the end of our visit, the manager came up to me and asked me to take my son out of the restaurant and calm him down before returning inside. this would do the exact opposite for my child & honestly make matters worse, taking him away from his food and his high chair, where he felt comfortable. moral of the story was, this person felt like my son should only be allowed to eat his meal if he was quiet and complacent. I did receive a sorry apology, but i don't think there is any apology that is able to rectify the hurt i feel for my sweet little boy. I hope moving forward it is learned that not all disabilities are visible and we should not be judging a TODDLER for crying or their parents when they are literally...
Read moreTook the family here after reading a bunch of good reviews…… are we sure we are reviewing the same place?
Let’s start with food. The meat for the hibachi was frozen in big piles. When both the chicken and steak got cooked, it was incredibly tough. Green beans were over cooked. Food was mostly bland which is unusual for a Chinese buffet. Meat was fatty and nothing tasted great. Tons of signs threatening to charge for wasting food…. But most of this trash was not edible. Ice cream was in frozen cups with no toppings that I could find.
Another huge issue was the “dinner food.” We arrived around 3:00 and got our first plates. As we were getting our food they were bringing out tons of new food to replace what was already there. This food was the exact same food as before. Then they labeled it “dinner only.” We had no idea if we got a dinner or lunch. Why would it even matter if it was being replaced with the exact same food?? When I asked them if we got lunch or dinner they looked confused and then said, “dinner.”
Now the service was decent and the place was nice and clean.
It wasn’t worth the $60 my...
