The Pho here is a giant bowl of warmth and comfort. Like a big ole hug from your granny. Everything is fresh and the servings are ample. The smallest bowl of pho (pronounced fah) is a LOT. If you like salty food, you’ll need to bring your salt, bc this food relies on natural herbs and spices, white onions, scallions/green onions, etc. (Salt is provided at each table, as well as pepper and hoisin sauce if you like things a lil sweet.) The flavors are so nice. Chicken, beef, veggies, shrimp, however you like, mix and match. There are plenty of noodles in the Pho and meat as well, but if you need extra, order some, don’t be shy. The pork spring rolls with peanut sauce are delicious too. Someone’s Vietnamese parents are back in the kitchen cooking and supervising the entire time. This place is legit. 👍🏻
I only wish there had been more ajinomoto in my Pho (but I know how strange Americans are when it comes to msg, yet they’ll scarf down an entire bag of msg filled Doritos without question). 🤷🏼
My taro milk tea boba was delicious too. For those that don’t like the squishy tapioca balls, simply ask for no tapioca. The milk tea is so tasty and just the right amount of sweet. Definitely worth trying.
They offer other noodle dishes, appetizers, and fried rice as well.
Take a trip to the heart of Vietnamese cuisine in the heart of Sylva....
Read moreFirst off this place is new very new opening a restaurant in a small town during an unprecedented crisis in the industry. Points for being brave and sharing your culture with our tiny little town. LOL to the Karen having a fit over the ice in her water. Why don't they reply to your review? If the ice levels in your FREE water upset you that bad why not simply ask for more ice while you are there. The audacity to complain about staffing levels in a restaurant in these times, while puzzled that the owners aren't taking the time to answer your complaint about how much ice they put in their water...
Ok so yes service is a little slow like 90% of every restaurant in the world. Taking that into account I'm still giving 5 stars. They are no worse than anywhere else right now. The food.. yall this food is amazing! I brought my friend here who grew up surrounded by Lao, Thai, and Vietnamese families in Charlotte. Flat out said this was the best pho ever. The Vietnamese egg rolls are a thing of magic.
Shame on everybody wishing this place would close down. Please don't trust reviews from people who feel that criticizing how well the employees speak English is appropriate. These are people who measure restaurants against cracker barrel and think olive garden is...
Read moreThe Pho has got to be the best (and only) in this region. We came up from Atlanta and this restaurant would put some of our favorite Pho restaurants in Atlanta to shame. Pho broth was flavorful, clear, and top it off it came out temperature hot so that when you put condiments in the broth it doesn't get cold - you don't want cold Pho. The meat options for pho is fairly limited but given the customer base in this area the available options work just fine. Must-try appetizer at a Vietnamese restaurant is spring roll, they were great as well with fresh ingredients. I would say shy away from getting Chinese & Thai options at a Vietnamese restaurant simply because you know they're covering their basis and more often than not, not as good as a real Chinese or Thai restaurant and perhaps detract people from coming here for the best stuff - the Pho!. I can say this restaurant Pho is on point and I would drive an hour and half to Sylva for their food vs driving to Atlanta that's for sure. I'm very excited to have this restaurant in this area and would...
